Cattyshack Cat Cafe
Fort Myers, Florida
Cattyshack Cat Cafe is a coffee shop and cat lounge in Gulf Coast Town Center, the outdoor mall off I-75 in south Fort Myers, next to Sports Clips. It opened in June 2020 as Fort Myers' first cat cafe. The cafe serves coffee, craft beer, wine, pastries and light food and sells cat merchandise, and windows look into the lounge. The lounge, called the Mulligan Room after the golf term for a second chance, has a playful golf and tropical theme with climbing palm trees and holds adoptable rescue cats. Visits are 50-minute sessions starting at ten past the hour, booked online, with walk-ins when there is space. The room is for ages seven and up outside all-ages events, children under 13 need an adult, and strollers are not allowed. The cats come from local rescues including Community Cats of Bonita Springs, and the cafe has passed 2,600 adoptions.

DeLand Cat Cafe
Deland, Florida
DeLand Cat Cafe is a cat adoption lounge on East New York Avenue in DeLand, West Volusia County's only cat cafe. Its building is split in two: one side is the cage-free cat lounge and the other is Trilogy Kitchen, a coffee shop serving breakfast and lunch, so visitors order coffee, tea or food there and carry it into the cat area. The lounge is set up like a living room, with Wi-Fi, books and a separate kitten room where visits are kept short. Adult cats and kittens are fostered for several Volusia County rescues and can be adopted. Admission is charged per person per hour, with a lower price for children 12 and under. Reservations are made on the website, and walk-ins are not guaranteed entry. Fat Cat Cafe
Tallahassee, Florida
Fat Cat Cafe is a nonprofit cat cafe and feline adoption center on East Park Avenue near Governor's Square Mall in Tallahassee, the city's first cat cafe. It opened in August 2017 and is run by Feline Advocates of Leon County, which also runs the Fat Cat Books bookstore. The cafe side is small, with pod coffee, bottled sodas, tea, water and snacks, and Betty's Boutique sells work by local artists and makers. Most of the space is the adoption room, where visitors pay an hourly entry fee to spend time with cats from several Tallahassee rescues, all spayed or neutered, tested, vaccinated and microchipped. Walk-ins are always welcome. Children under 12 must stay with an adult, and children under two enter free. The cafe had found homes for more than 1,900 cats by 2026. It is open Wednesday to Sunday.

Good Luck Cat Cafe
Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Good Luck Cat Cafe is a volunteer-run cat adoption lounge on the second floor of Progresso Plaza in Fort Lauderdale's Progresso Village, close to the FAT Village arts district and Flagler Village. It is operated by Lady Luck Animal Rescue, a nonprofit rescue that takes in cats surrendered by owners, found as strays or transferred from animal control. Visitors can walk in without a reservation and spend time with free-roaming adult cats in the main lounge and with younger cats in a separate kitten room. The lounge runs on donations rather than a fixed ticket, and coffee and snacks are available. Every cat is vetted, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and microchipped, and adoptions go through an application and a home visit. The cafe is open every day except major holidays, and the rescue also offers community service hours for students who foster kittens.

Orlando Cat Café

Orlando Cat Café is a coffeehouse and cat adoption lounge in the Town Center at Cagan Crossings in Clermont, on US 27, about five miles west of Disney's Animal Kingdom as the crow flies. Opened in 2016, it was the first cat cafe in Florida. The coffee shop side serves Minch Coffee, tea, pastries and light food, while a separate 1,000-square-foot cat play and adoption area with its own entrance holds around 12 to 15 cats and kittens from SPCA Florida, all available for adoption. Guests pay an hourly entry fee per person, with a lower rate for children under 12, and can take their food and drinks into the cat area. Reservations are strongly recommended. Visitors who only want coffee can watch the cats through a viewing window from the cafe. The cafe also hosts special events, including cat yoga and after-hours overnight stays with the cats.

Tally Cat Cafe

Tally Cat Cafe is a coffee bar and cat lounge on North Monroe Street in Tallahassee, opened in May 2018 by three friends who had volunteered with the Leon County Humane Society. The front cafe serves coffee, espresso, cold brew, tea, boba, smoothies, beer and wine with pastries, and bar seating along a viewing window overlooks the lounge. The cats live in a separate Cat Lounge, which serves as a foster home for the humane society's adoptable cats and kittens. Hourly lounge visits can be reserved online at a slightly lower price than walk-ins, which depend on space, and drinks can be taken inside. Children under five are not allowed in, and those under 13 need an adult and should not pick the cats up. Adoptions follow the humane society's process, and the cafe passed 2,000 adoptions in 2026. The Kitty Beautiful

The Kitty Beautiful is a cat cafe in downtown Orlando, in a purple building on State Lane between Livingston Street and Robinson Street, one block west of Orange Avenue. The front coffee shop, with WiFi and a small free library, is open to everyone, and the cats stay in a separate lounge at the back. Visits to the lounge are paid by the hour, with half-hour visits and multi-visit passes also available, and food and drinks from the cafe can be taken inside. Around 25 rescue cats live in the lounge at a time, all from the rescue CATS CAN, and each is fixed, tested, vaccinated and microchipped before arriving. More than 1,200 cats have been adopted since the cafe opened in 2019. Bongo, the house cat, is not for adoption. Walk-ins are welcome on weekdays, but reservations are strongly recommended on weekends. The cafe is closed on Mondays.

Frisky Cat Cafe is a nonprofit cat and kitten rescue with a cafe on South Ponce de Leon Boulevard (US 1) in St. Augustine, just across the San Sebastian River from the historic district. Sassy Cat Club Cafe

Sassy Cat Club Cafe is a cat lounge in a shopping plaza on West Lumsden Road in Brandon, east of Tampa. It is run by a veterinary technician and partners with A Kitten Place Rescue, which supplies the adoptable cats and kittens that live in the lounge. Visitors pay an admission fee for a one-hour visit or a shorter 30-minute pop-in, and children under two enter free. Children five and under start with a 30-minute visit, and children under 13 must be supervised by a paying adult. Opened in summer 2022 as Tampa's first cat cafe, it is a women-owned business with a pink interior that serves coffee drinks and sweet snacks. Visits are booked as one-hour sessions in a lounge full of adoptable cats and kittens, and because the number of guests per session is capped, booking ahead is strongly recommended and walk-ins are limited. All the cats are rescues from the nonprofit Purrs & Whiskers Inc. and live in the lounge until they are adopted; adoption applications are filled out in person during a visit. The cafe hosts monthly kitten yoga, movie nights and family visits, and the whole lounge can be booked for private parties. It is closed on Mondays and takes a midday break on Fridays to Sundays.

Purrology Cat Cafe is a cat cafe on South Florida Avenue in south Lakeland, opened in September 2022 as the first cat cafe in Polk County. It combines a drinks counter with a separate cage-free cat lounge where visitors spend time with rescued cats and kittens, all of them fixed, vaccinated and microchipped and available for adoption through the rescue partner Cat Haven.
