Katy's Cat Cafe

Katy's Cat Cafe is a cat cafe on Boulevard of the Arts in Sarasota's Rosemary District, a few blocks north of downtown, founded by Katy Morano after a crowdfunding campaign and opened in 2025. The cafe serves organic coffee, tea, mocktails, gelato and pastries from local businesses, and entering the cat lounge is optional. Lounge admission is a single day ticket with no time limit and no reservations, subject to capacity, so guests can stay to work, read or play board games with the cats around them. There is a student discount and a discount on Fridays, and monthly memberships give unlimited access. Everyone signs a waiver, children under 14 need an adult, and children five and under enter free. The cats come from local shelters and can be adopted through Katy's Cat Charity Co., the nonprofit that runs the lounge. It hosts cat yoga, art shows and other events.
