Pink Paws Cat Café
Jacksonville, Florida
Pink Paws Cat Café is a cat cafe and bakery in the BJ's shopping plaza on Atlantic Boulevard in east Jacksonville. It opened in October 2026. The front cafe serves coffee, ceremonial matcha, boba drinks, imported French croissants and other pastries and breakfast items, and guests can then go into a pink, storybook-themed cat lounge to spend time with the cafe's resident cats. Unlike most cat cafes in the area, the cats are pedigree residents rather than rescues waiting for adoption, with breeds such as Maine Coons and Savannahs among them. The cafe is aimed at coffee dates, family outings and groups of friends, and it is open every day.
Bold Kitty Cafe
Jacksonville, Florida
Bold Kitty Cafe is a cat lounge inside the City of Jacksonville's Animal Care and Protective Services shelter on Forest Street, west of downtown Jacksonville. The shelter opened the room, together with a community cat room, in July 2026 as a place where visitors can relax with adoptable shelter cats, not only meet a cat they plan to adopt. Guests are encouraged to bring their own coffee or a book and settle in among the cats; the lounge does not sell food or drinks. All the cats are in the care of the city shelter and are waiting for homes, and adoptions are handled by shelter staff on site. The lounge follows the shelter's public hours, every day from noon to 7 PM. It is one of the few places in Jacksonville to spend time with cats since the Caffeinated Cat in Jacksonville Beach closed in April 2025.

Furry Friends Cafe
Jupiter, Florida
Furry Friends Cafe is a small cafe inside the Jupiter adoption center of Furry Friends Humane, a nonprofit animal rescue on Capital Street in Jupiter, in northern Palm Beach County. Opened in early 2026 in the center's boutique, it invites visitors to have a drink, browse the shop or work on a laptop, and to spend time playing with the rescue's adoptable cats in the cat rooms, which are large and well equipped. The cafe counter keeps shorter hours than the adoption center, serving from Wednesday to Sunday in the late morning, while the center and its cat rooms are open every day. Children must be supervised in the cat rooms at all times, guests are asked not to chase or disturb resting cats, and parties or group gatherings need prior approval. Adoptions of cats and dogs are arranged on site.

Fat Cat Books
Tallahassee, Florida
Fat Cat Books is a nonprofit used bookstore and cat adoption center on North Magnolia Drive near Tennessee Street in Tallahassee, run by Feline Advocates of Leon County, the group behind Fat Cat Cafe. It opened in Railroad Square in October 2020 and moved to its current building in 2026, reopening there in September. Adoptable adult and senior cats roam freely among the shelves and armchairs, so visitors can browse and spend time with them in the same room. All the books are donated and sold at low prices to fund the cats' care, and a small boutique sells stickers, magnets, candles, soaps and jewelry from local makers. The cats are spayed or neutered, tested, microchipped and vaccinated, and can be adopted through an application to the rescue. The shop also hosts art exhibits and First Friday events. It is open Thursday to Sunday.

Upper Keys Humane Society Cat Café
Key Largo, Florida
The Upper Keys Humane Society Cat Café is a cat room at the front of the Upper Keys Humane Society, the only no-kill shelter in the Florida Keys, at mile marker 101 on the Overseas Highway in Key Largo. Rather than a separate business, it is the shelter's cage-free cat and kitten area set up as a cafe, where visitors can relax with coffee, tea or water for a donation and play with adoptable cats and kittens, whether or not they plan to adopt. There is a separate room for kittens, a small cat library and cat-themed gifts for sale. All the cats are available for adoption through the humane society, a nonprofit founded in 1972 that runs on donations. The café keeps the shelter's short public hours, mornings from Wednesday to Saturday and a short window on Sunday, so check before driving down.
