Tally Cat Café is a unique blend of a coffee bar and cat lounge that opened its doors on May 21, 2018, with a mission to boost cat adoptions and support the Leon County Humane Society (LCHS). This cozy spot serves an array of beverages—coffee, tea, boba, smoothies, beer, and wine—featuring Lucky Goat coffee, alongside pastries, while fostering 15-20 adoptable cats in a separate, clean, and safe lounge area. For $14 per hour with a reservation (or $15 for walk-ins, space permitting), visitors can unwind with these healthy, vetted cats, which are all rescued by LCHS, helping reduce euthanasia rates and doubling the number of cats the society saves annually—over 1,700 adoptions since opening. Founded by three college friends passionate about animal welfare, Tally Cat Café offers a tranquil, glam-vibe space where guests can sip drinks, enjoy feline company, and even participate in events like yoga with cats, all while contributing to a heartfelt cause.
