Purrology Cat Café is a heartfelt venture that opened in September 2022, bringing Polk County’s first cat café to life under the vision of Kristina Schuster, who aimed to combat the region’s high feline euthanasia rates. Partnering with local rescues like TLC PetSnip and Polk County Animal Control, this cozy spot offers a cage-free lounge where visitors can interact with adoptable cats for $12 per hour, enjoying drinks like Italian sodas, lavender-lemonade “Uncaged,” and Patriot Roasters coffee in a separate café area. With a mission to increase adoptions and provide a loving, social environment for cats—all of whom arrive fixed, vaccinated, and microchipped—Purrology blends community spirit with feline welfare, featuring a private party room and a welcoming vibe for families to create lasting memories while supporting a cause close to Schuster’s heart.
