Toe Beans Cat Cafe
Port Hope, Ontario
Toe Beans Cat Cafe is a cat cafe, bakery and gift shop on Peter Street in Port Hope, just east of the town's historic downtown. It opened in September 2018 and has been run since 2020 by a mother-and-daughter team. Alley Cat Cafe

Alley Cat Cafe is a cat cafe on Market Place in downtown Stratford, beside Market Square and City Hall. The Sault's Cat-urday Cafe
Sault Ste Marie, Ontario
The Sault's Cat-urday Cafe is the first cat cafe in Sault Ste. Marie, set inside Thyne's Family Bakery on Gore Street, a few blocks north of the downtown Queen Street strip. Visitors order at the bakery, which has been baking in the city since 2004 and serves specialty coffee, tea, sandwiches, soups, pastries, ice cream and shakes, then take their food into a separate cat lounge behind double doors. The cats come from the local rescue T.A.A.G. (The Animal Assistance Group) and are all available for adoption, with applications handled by the rescue. Lounge sessions run for 50 minutes with a small entry fee per person, and children under 4 enter free. Walk-ins are accepted when there is room, but calling ahead is recommended on weekends and for groups. Everyone signs a waiver, and children under 6 need one adult each. The lounge has colouring pages, puzzles and board games, and hosts events such as cat crafting, paint nights, trivia and cribbage.

Niagara Falls Cat Cafe
Niagara Falls, Ontario
Niagara Falls Cat Cafe is a family-run cat cafe and restaurant on Queen Street in downtown Niagara Falls. Opened in autumn 2024 as the first cat cafe in the Niagara Region, it serves a full menu of brunch dishes, grilled cheese sandwiches, soups, salads and desserts in its dining room. The cats live in a separate enclosure with petting areas, cozy seating and a selfie wall, which diners and non-diners can enter for a fee charged per 30 or 60 minutes. Drinks are allowed in the cat room but food is not, every visitor must sign a paper liability waiver, and children 12 and under must stay with an adult. All the cats come from local rescues, mainly Pets Alive Niagara, and can be adopted on site; the cafe has rehomed more than 150 cats. My Kitty Cafe is a cat cafe on Wyndham Street North in downtown Guelph, a short walk from St. George's Square. The front of the shop is a variety store selling coffee, snacks and pet supplies, and behind it are two cat lounges, the Cottage and the Cabin, where adoptable cats from Rags to Riches Cat Rescue live while they wait for homes. Opened in 2024, it pairs a vintage-styled cafe, decorated with ornate wallpaper, mirrors, candlesticks and cat art, with a separate cat room where the cafe's resident cats live. The cafe side is open to everyone without a booking and serves espresso drinks, Turkish coffee, fresh juices, waffles, crêpes and sandwiches. Time with the cats is booked online in one-hour sessions, which include a complimentary coffee, tea or soft drink; walk-ins depend on space. Up to five guests share each session, children under 5 are not allowed in the cat room, and no food or drink goes in. Staff explain the house rules and hand out treats so visitors can feed the cats, and the cats have a private area where they can retreat from guests. The cafe is open every day except Tuesday.

Little Paws Cat Cafe is a cat cafe on Ferguson Avenue in Haileybury, part of Temiskaming Shores on Lake Timiskaming. It was opened in November 2025 by local couple Bryan and Jennifer Borecki. The front of the cafe serves espresso drinks, caffeine-free specialty drinks and homemade baked goods, and sells cat-themed merchandise. Next to it is a cat room where visitors spend time with cats from local partner shelters and rescues, including the Temiskaming Shores area animal services, and every cat in the room is available for adoption. Meow Woo Studio is a cat cafe and pet supply shop in a plaza on Yonge Street in Richmond Hill, between 16th Avenue and Major Mackenzie Drive. It first opened in Markham in 2024 and moved to this location in February 2025. The front cafe serves coffee, bubble tea, lattes and cakes, and the shop sells cat treats, supplies and pet clothing. Behind it is a large cat room with around 40 cats and kittens, a mix of breeds such as Devon Rex alongside cats the owner has taken in as strays or surrenders, and some of them can be adopted. Entry is a single flat fee that includes a drink, with no time limit. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult in the cat room. The studio is open every day until late evening and also offers cat boarding.

Purrfect Café

Purrfect Café is a cat cafe on McNicoll Avenue near Midland Avenue in northern Scarborough, opened in February 2026. Its cafe menu draws on the owners' Singaporean roots, with pandan, coconut and gula melaka flavours in drinks and cat-shaped desserts such as tofu pudding. A separate cat lounge, visible from the cafe through a large window, houses 15 to 20 rescue cats, and those in the lounge are available for adoption through Finally Home Cat Rescue. The Cat Lounge at Glasshouse Nursery
Chatham, Ontario
The Cat Lounge is an enclosed cat room inside the Purrculator Cafe at the Glasshouse Nursery, a large garden centre and gift shop on Creek Road in Chatham. It opened in 2024 and is run by Pet and Wildlife Rescue (PAWR) together with the nursery. Every cat in the lounge is a PAWR shelter cat available for adoption, often an older, shy or overlooked cat that does better here than in a kennel. Visitors drop in without booking, make a small donation to PAWR and can bring in a coffee or snack from the cafe counter, which serves espresso drinks, muffins and croissants. Adoptions are completed at the PAWR shelter on Park Avenue East, two minutes away, and the lounge reached its 100th adoption in July 2026. Many visitors combine a session with a walk through the nursery's plant displays and boutique.

Wonder Pet Cafe

Wonder Pet Cafe is a cat and dog cafe on Queen Street West in downtown Toronto near Spadina Avenue, on the 501 Queen streetcar line. Opened in July 2025 by three women who began rescuing animals in 2022, it doubles as an adoption centre, and most of its cats and dogs are looking for homes. The cafe works closely with Wow Rescue, a rescue group in Wuhan, China, and other registered rescue partners, and a few of the animals belong to staff. Cats and dogs are kept in separate rooms, each visited in one-hour sessions with a staff member present, and admission covers one room. Higher tiers add a drink and dessert from the cafe, which serves coffee, milk tea and cakes. Online reservations take priority and walk-ins are admitted when space allows. Visitors under 18 need a parent or guardian with them.
