Well, we're a regular ol' cafe, with coffee, lattes, baked goods, sandwiches... Oh, and a room full of cats! We work with local Browncoat Cat Rescue to host their cats until they are adopted. Our cat room (separate from the dining area) is their temporary home until their forever home is found! Come have a coffee, pastry, and relax with our adorable kitties who are looking for a little extra love.

Brooklyn, New York

The Brooklyn Cat Cafe is a volunteer-run adoption center and community space working to reduce cat homelessness through rescue, education, TNR and outreach. We are run by Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition (BBAWC) and are proud to be the only non-profit cat cafe in New York City.

Koneko Cat Café is a cat café at 26 Clinton Street in New York City’s Lower East Side, where visitors can spend time with adoptable rescue cats from Anjellicle Cats Rescue. Opened in October 2015 as America’s first Japanese-inspired cat café, it features three areas: an upper cattery, a lower cattery, and an outdoor catio, with a total capacity of about 20 cats. Guests aged 8 and up can book hourly sessions for $25, which includes a covered beverage like coffee or tea from the café’s menu of Japanese-inspired snacks and drinks; outside food and drinks (non-alcoholic) are also allowed. The café is open Wednesday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the cattery opening at 11 a.m., and reservations are recommended due to a 15-person limit per session. A live webcam streams the cats online, and the space doubles as a venue for events like movie nights and art exhibitions.

Meow Parlour is a cat café at 43 Essex Street in New York City, where visitors can spend time with adoptable cats from their nonprofit division, Meow Parlour Cats, Inc. It opened in December 2014 as NYC’s first cat café, founded by Christina Ha and Emilie Legrand, and has helped over 2,000 cats find homes since then. Guests aged 9 and up (with adults for those under 18) can book sessions ranging from 30 minutes to five hours for $14-$66, enjoying drinks and cat-themed baked goods from Macaron Parlour, with outside food and non-alcoholic drinks allowed. Buckminster's Cat Cafe is a dynamic space for cat lovers and coffee lovers on Buffalo's vibrant west side. We provide a unique, feline-centric atmosphere for meeting and interacting with cats in need of forever homes. We have partnered with Second Chance Sheltering Network, Inc., a local cat rescue organization, to populate our Cat Zone with good-natured, adoptable cats. Rotterdam, New York

The Pretty Paw Lounge is Rotterdam, New York's first and only cat cafe. They work in conjunction with local shelters to find cats forever homes, and offer kitty playdates that you can book in-person or on their website. However, you're also welcome to just come by and play with the cats if you're not looking to adopt. They offer an assortment of drinks, and playdates with the cats range from $15-20 for 30 minutes to an hour.
