Meow Parlour

Meow Parlour is a cat café at 43 Essex Street in New York City, where visitors can spend time with adoptable cats from their nonprofit division, Meow Parlour Cats, Inc. It opened in December 2014 as NYC’s first cat café, founded by Christina Ha and Emilie Legrand, and has helped over 2,000 cats find homes since then. Guests aged 9 and up (with adults for those under 18) can book sessions ranging from 30 minutes to five hours for $14-$66, enjoying drinks and cat-themed baked goods from Macaron Parlour, with outside food and non-alcoholic drinks allowed. All cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and the café is open daily with reservations recommended due to a capacity limit of about 20 people in the lounge. The space also hosts private events for up to 10 guests.
