Hogo Neko Cafe Taichan
Tagawa, Fukuoka
Hogo Neko Cafe Taichan is a rescue cat cafe in the Ita district of Tagawa, in the Chikuho area, tucked behind a local izakaya. It opened in May 2026 and keeps a homely room of friendly rescued cats and kittens, several of which are looking for adoptive families. Visits are charged by time, and on weekdays a free-time option with a drink bar lets guests stay as long as they like. The cafe also serves crepes and drinks, which can be ordered without entering the cat room, and offers fried chicken and other takeout to order. Visitors must wear socks in the cat room, and socks are sold on site. Bookings and enquiries can be made by phone. The cafe has parking for six cars and is closed on Thursdays.

Fukuhiro
Miyawaka, Fukuoka
Fukuhiro is a Japanese-style cafe in a renovated old house in the countryside of Takano, Miyawaka, where visitors can spend time with rescued cats as well as ponies and goats. It opened in July 2024 and serves set lunches and sweets, with the kitchen taking last lunch orders in the early afternoon. Meeting the rescue cats costs a separate interaction fee, which goes toward their care and includes toys and treats. The owner works to match cats with new families and arranges adoptions after considering each applicant's experience and home, and also carries out trap-neuter-return work for local strays. No reservation is needed. The venue also hosts small concerts and can be rented as a community space. It is closed on Mondays, has its own parking, and accepts cash and PayPay.

Crepe to Neko no Ie
Kurume, Fukuoka
Crepe to Neko no Ie is a crepe shop in Kamitsu, Kurume, whose owner runs a private cat rescue from the same building. The upper floor is a cat room where rescued cats live while they wait for new homes, and it serves as a permanent adoption venue where people can watch the cats' everyday behaviour before applying. Volunteer staff look after the cats and can explain each one's personality and history. The shop says it is not a cat cafe, so there is no entry or time charge and the rescue work is funded by donations, though visits are limited to one hour, or 30 minutes for families with children, and prospective adopters get priority. Visits and adoption appointments are booked by phone, and adoption terms are discussed in person. Socks are required, and strong perfume is not allowed. The cat room is open every day in the afternoon.

Ukiha Neko Cafe 28〇 (Nyao)
Ukiha, Fukuoka
Ukiha Neko Cafe 28〇 (Nyao) is a cat cafe in Yoshii, Ukiha, in a converted building with a bright orange exterior, about 12 minutes on foot from JR Chikugo-Yoshii Station and 10 minutes by car from the Asakura interchange of the Oita Expressway. Around 17 to 18 cats live here, ranging from rescued cats to purebreds, with a large cat tower for climbing. Visitors choose a 30 or 60-minute session in the cat room, which can be extended, and order a drink first to enjoy afterwards in the cafe area, where a counter looks into the cat room. The cafe also sells home-made baked goods and cat-themed goods, and part of the sales supports local community and rescue cat work. Opening days and hours change monthly and are published as a calendar on Instagram and Google, and the cafe holds occasional events for individual cats.

Nha Con Meo
Yame, Fukuoka
Nha Con Meo is a rescue cat cafe in Motomura, Yame, whose name means house of cats in Vietnamese. It opened as Kurume's first cat cafe and moved to its current home in Yame in December 2023. The cafe aims to connect cats at risk of euthanasia with new owners, and most of its many resident cats, all rescues, are looking for adoptive families. The cat room is larger than the modest exterior suggests. Entry is charged for the first 30 minutes and then in 10-minute increments, with a weekday option to stay until closing, and drinks such as Vietnamese coffee are ordered separately. Visits are by reservation only, and the cat room is for junior high school students and older, with younger children asked to check first. Socks are required, and coats and bags go in lockers. Closures are announced on Instagram.

Fureai Room TERANCH
Omuta, Fukuoka
Fureai Room TERANCH is a rescue cat interaction and adoption room in Kunugi, Omuta, on the grounds of Tokushoji temple. It is run by Sumineko, an Omuta volunteer group formed to rescue cats from multi-cat hoarding cases, and is described as a place to meet rescued cats and talk about adoption rather than a cat cafe. There is no entry or time charge; the room relies on donations left in a box at the entrance, which pay for food, litter, veterinary care and trap-neuter-return work. Visits are by reservation through Instagram direct message or the official LINE account, usually in the afternoon, and the opening days are published each month. People considering adoption are given priority. Visitors must wear socks, avoid strong perfume and stay calm around the cats. A small handmade goods shop operates next door.
