Antique Gallery Kissa Ben-Ben
Antique Gallery Kissa Ben-Ben is an old-fashioned coffee shop near Mojiko in Moji Ward, Kitakyushu, crammed with antique furniture, dolls and Showa-era curios, with a cat room upstairs. Its owner, who runs the shop alone, describes it as a coffee shop with cats rather than a cat cafe. In October 2026 six cats lived there, including a Bengal and a Maine Coon, and kittens born there could be handled from September 2026. Coffee and snacks can be had downstairs without seeing the cats, and the cat room costs ¥500 with no time limit; earlier visitors said cat treats were included. Drinks come with a small free snack, and payment is cash only. Several reviewers have mentioned a strong cat smell. It is about 600 metres from Idemitsu Museum of Arts Station on the Mojiko Retro sightseeing line, and it is open from 11 AM to 6 PM and closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The animals are available for adoption after screening. In 2026 several reviewers complained of a strong smell, crowded rooms and cats with colds, and boarding customers reported sick cats and missed pick-ups. Opening days are posted on Instagram.

It opened around the start of 2011, and many of its resident cats are elderly cats once taken to the city's animal centre; the cafe does not take in cats itself.
