Lien
Kitakyushu, Fukuoka0.9 mi / 1.4 km
Lien is a rescue and care facility for dogs and cats in Yanagimachi, Moji Ward, near the Yanagimachi shopping street. It opened in 2019 as an extension of the owner's rescue work and runs a home for elderly and special-needs dogs and cats, a pet hotel and grooming, taking in animals mainly from the Kitakyushu animal welfare centre and the neighbouring Shimonoseki area. After moving from Takada to a larger building in Yanagimachi, it now has a meet-and-greet space where visitors can spend time with rescued dogs and cats without a reservation. Socks are required. The rescued cats and dogs are available for adoption, and adopters are screened before an animal goes home. At its former premises, the facility ran a time-charged adoption cat cafe on the second floor. Opening hours are posted on the facility's Instagram.
