They partner with rescue groups to provide a safe space for displaced cats; providing everything for them while they stay, and helping many adoptables find their loving new homes. They offer many unique experiences across different areas of our cafe, including time with over thirteen adult cats in the Cat Lounge, a group of youngsters in a tiki-themed Treehouse, kittens in Kittyland, a boutique cinema experience at Catflix Cat Cinema, and Cat Yoga.

Established in 2014, Cat Café Melbourne is Australia’s first cat cafe. They have several adorable resident cats in a calm and relaxing environment where you can let your inner crazy cat person out! Most of the cats at Cat Cafe Melbourne are abandoned and rehomed cats. They believe in giving abandoned cats a second chance and hope to increase awareness of the benefits of rescue animals.

Established in September 2016, Crazy Cat Café boasts an amazing family of 23 Crazy Cats. They are the only cat cafe in Australia to welcome all ages and are a fully licensed cafe with an amazing outdoor area overlooking Surfers Paradise Boulevard & a great cafe area with purrfect views of the Cat & VIP Lounge & Surfers Paradise. They feature award winning coffee, ice cold drinks - alcoholic & non-alcoholic and delicious food. They also have kitty related merchandise available for purchase. The Café & Balcony is separate to the Cat & VIP Lounge, so the allergic or curious people can still have a peek at the cats or simply people watch with our great views, whilst enjoying delicious ice cold drinks, Barista Coffee voted 3rd on the Gold Coast & anything else from our great menu that boasts delicious food and treats for all.

Jiji Rescue Cat Café, located in Middle Cove, Sydney, NSW, Australia, is a unique retreat billed as Australia’s only cat café offering private rescue cat and kitten sessions, having opened its doors in late February 2023. Founded by Yuki Arai, who moved from Japan to Australia a decade ago, the café was inspired by Japan’s popular cat café culture and Yuki’s desire to address Sydney’s stray cat population after years of studying animal care. Visitors can enjoy a variety of beverages—coffee, tea, juice, milkshakes in flavors like matcha and salted caramel—alongside snacks such as gluten-free banana bread, cookies, protein balls, and wraps, all while cuddling and playing with adoptable rescue cats in a cozy lounge. With entry at $15 per person for a 20-minute session (plus $8 for every additional 10 minutes) and a maximum of six guests per booking, the café prioritizes a calm, safe environment for its feline residents, many sourced from local rescue groups, with over 36 cats already rehomed. Open Wednesday to Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM, Jiji Rescue Cat Café combines a passion for cat welfare with a welcoming space for coffee lovers and potential adopters in Sydney’s North Shore, fostering a community dedicated to finding forever homes for its furry friends.
