Cat Cafes in Gold Coast, Queensland

Crazy ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌Cat Café is a cat cafe upstairs in the Centre Arcade on Surfers Paradise Boulevard, on the tram side of the building in central Surfers Paradise. Opened in 2016, it is home to 24 resident cats of many breeds, including Devon Rex, which live at the cafe permanently rather than being up for adoption. The cafe and its balcony are separate from the Cat Lounge, so visitors can eat or watch the cats without going in. Cat Lounge visits are 30 or 60 minute sessions, best booked online, though walk-ins are welcome when there is space, and food and drinks can be taken into the lounge. There are 17 steps up to the cafe and no lift. A private VIP Paw Lounge can be booked for groups, with the option of requesting a favourite cat. The cafe is fully licensed, serving barista coffee, cakes, meals, milkshakes and cocktails. All ages are welcome, and children 12 and under must be supervised. It is open daily.

Its resident cats include several British Shorthairs. Visitors who spend a set amount on food or drink get a free 15-minute session in the cat room, and the cat room can also be visited on its own for a fee.
