Around 20 cats live here. Visits are charged for a first 30 minutes and then in 10-minute extensions, up to a daily maximum, and drinks are included in the price; weekend and holiday rates are higher. No reservations are taken. Guests must be at least 6 years old, and children under 12 need a guardian. Cat snacks can be bought to feed the cats, and chasing the cats and flash photography are not allowed. The cafe is open every day.

Around 20 pedigree cats live here, including Siberians, Persians, Munchkins, Scottish Folds, Norwegian Forest Cats, American Shorthairs, a Maine Coon, a Ragdoll and a Tonkinese. Visits are charged per 10 minutes up to a daily maximum, with higher rates on weekends and holidays, and no booking is needed. There is no age limit: children aged 3 and under enter free, and children below junior high school age must come with a guardian. Neko ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​​​​​‌​​​​​‌​‌‌‌‌​​‌‌​‌‌‌‌‌‌​‌​​‌⁠Manma is a long-running cat cafe in Minamiwakecho, Showa Ward, Nagoya, about 10 minutes on foot from Gokiso Station on the Sakura-dori subway line, which runs directly from Nagoya Station. It is part of a cat-only facility that also has a grooming salon and a boarding hotel for owners' cats. The cat cafe now opens on only one weekend day a week, a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, and the dates for each month are announced on the website; the salon and hotel run on the other days. The resident cats cover many breeds. Visits are charged by the hour with free drinks, the length of stay is chosen on arrival, and extra time is charged in 5-minute steps. Guests must be of elementary school age or older and need to wear socks.

Neko ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​‌​​​​‌​​‌​​​​​‌​​‌‌​​​‌‌‌‌​​​‌​‌⁠Cafe Hitoyasumi is a rescue cat cafe on the second floor of a building in Nishiki 3-chome, Naka Ward, Nagoya, about 5 minutes on foot from Marunouchi and Hisaya-odori stations and 8 minutes from Sakae Station. Open since 2013, it is a partner venue of Hananoki Shelter, a Nagoya rescue group, and also looks after cats from registered individual rescuers. Most of its roughly 14 cats are looking for new homes, and adoptions follow Hananoki Shelter's process. Visits are charged in time bands with free drinks, the top band comes with a pass for re-entry on the same day, and payment is cash only. Free Wi-Fi is available. Picking up the cats isn't allowed, and visitors must be of elementary school age or older. Kittens under one year are out until 8 PM. The cafe is open every day, with temporary changes posted on its Ameblo blog.

It opened in April 2025 and is set up to feel like a home, so the rescued cats can behave much as they would with a family. All the cats are looking for new homes; staff talk at length with would-be adopters to find a cat that suits their lifestyle, and adoptions start with a trial period. Walk-ins are welcome, and visits can also be booked online. It is open from 11 AM to 8 PM (last order 7:30 PM), with a rest break for the cats from 3 to 4 PM, and is closed on Wednesdays. Two spaces in a nearby car park are reserved for visitors.

New ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​‌‌‌​​‌‌‌‌‌‌​​‌​​​‌​‌​​‌‌​‌​​​​​‌⁠Journey is a rescue cat cafe in Takayamacho, Kasugai, where all the cats are rescues looking for new homes. They come from very different backgrounds, and some are withdrawn at first after being abandoned, so visitors are asked to let them open up at their own pace. Anyone interested in adopting can talk to the staff, and the cafe sells a charity calendar of its cats. Entry is ¥950 for the first 30 minutes with one drink, then ¥400 per extra 30 minutes (tax included); extra drinks are ¥300 and cat treats ¥400. No reservations are needed. Children must be of elementary school age or older, and elementary and junior high school pupils need a guardian. Shoes come off at the door, cats may only be held while sitting down, and flash photography is not allowed. It is open from noon to 8 PM on weekdays and from 10 AM to 7 PM at weekends and on holidays, and closed on Mondays (or the next day when Monday is a holiday).

Cats ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​‌​‌‌‌‌​‌‌​‌‌​​​‌​‌​​​‌​​‌​​​​‌‌​⁠Cafe Nyanyanya, whose full name means “the cats' little house”, is a small cat cafe in the Ginza-dori shopping arcade in Seto. Guests can spend time with its cat staff in the cat room, and the cafe space can also be used on its own, by cat lovers and others alike. The number of people in the cat room is limited, so walk-ins are accepted but guests with reservations get priority. For visitors driving in from Nagoya, Toyota, Okazaki, Kasugai or Komaki, the cafe recommends the Seto-gura car park. On the 22nd of each month (except 22 February), weekday guests who book an hour in the cat room get extra time free. It opens at 11 AM, takes last entries at 6:30 PM, and is closed on Wednesdays, with extra closing days announced on its calendar.

It is in the Oki area of the city, 20 to 25 minutes on foot from JR Mikawa-Ichinomiya Station and five minutes by car from the Toyokawa interchange, with parking for 12 cars. Its rescued cats can be adopted. Visits are charged by time, from ¥800 for 30 minutes and ¥1,200 for an hour (tax included), at half price for preschool and elementary school children and free for babies under one; there is also a weekday three-hour pack and a Monday private-hire plan, and snacks such as taiyaki and ice cream are sold. Same-day bookings are accepted and walk-ins are welcome, but when it is full guests wait in their cars. Socks are required, junior high school pupils and younger must come with a parent, and anyone who has already visited another cat cafe that day is turned away to protect the cats' health unless they have changed and bathed. It is open from 10 AM to 7 PM (last entry 6 PM), Tuesday to Sunday, and on Mondays that are public holidays.

Soramachi ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​​​​‌​​​‌​​‌‌​​‌‌‌​​​‌‌‌‌​‌​​​​​‌⁠Cafe and Rescue Cat Cafe Nekomachi is a rescue cat cafe in a 90-year-old house in Heisakacho, Nishio, on the corner of a five-way junction; the Heisaka Nishiguchi bus stop is right outside, and there is parking for 8 or 9 cars. The building also houses a small cafe serving fair-trade organic coffee, tea, cocoa and Nishio matcha. All of the cats, usually around ten plus a kitten room, are rescues up for adoption, and adoptions include a trial period. Entry is by a per-person donation into the box in the cat room, with no time limit, though guests are asked to share the space when it is busy; ordering a drink is optional. The cafe has taken in hundreds of cats since it opened. It is open from 10 AM to 6 PM and closed on Thursdays unless they fall on a public holiday.
