It works on local cat problems, taking in cats from multi-cat hoarding cases, retired breeders and owners who can no longer keep them, socialising former outdoor cats and matching them with new families. The cat room spans two floors with an open ceiling, stairs and catwalks, and the cats are known for being friendly and settling on laps. Visits are charged by the hour with free drinks, at a higher rate on weekends, holidays and busy periods, and a paid feeding option is available. Children under school age cannot enter the cat area, and under-16s must come with a guardian. Kittens are shown only to people considering adoption. Booking is recommended on weekends. The cafe is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and last entry is 5 PM.

Shiawase no Kagishippo is a volunteer-run rescue cat shelter in Akamatsucho, Anjo, set inside a car care shop. It is an adoption space where anyone can drop in to play with cats looking for homes, from friendly adults to shy cats still learning to trust people, and every cat is available for adoption subject to the shelter's conditions. The shelter takes in more than a hundred cats a year. Entry works on a donation basis with a suggested minimum for adults and a smaller amount for children, and there is no time limit. The cat room is compact, holding around ten cats and ten visitors at a time, so it feels more like visiting a friend's home than a commercial cafe. Young children are welcome with a guardian. Handmade cat goods are sold to fund the shelter. It is closed on Wednesdays.
