Fureai Space Cody no Isu
Cody no Isu is a dog and cat cafe on the second floor of a building on the Holland-dori section of the Omotecho shopping arcade in central Okayama. Small, medium and large dogs, including young dogs and breeds such as a Borzoi, share one room with the resident cats, and there is also a quieter cat corner at the back. The animals are very used to people and often compete for a place on visitors' laps, so visitors are asked to wear socks and clothes that can get fur on them. Entry is charged per hour, with 30-minute extensions. Because of the large dogs, children are admitted from about age 10. Booking is recommended at weekends and for groups. The cafe is closed on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and the fourth Sunday of the month, and temporary closures are posted on Instagram.
