Cat Cafe Luana

Luana has to leave its current premises in November 2026 and is looking for a new location. Check its Instagram or X before visiting.

Cat Cafe Luana, part of the Pet no Baton Cafe group, is a rescue cat cafe on the second floor of a building in Tamachi, central Okayama, near the Yubinkyoku-mae tram stop. Opened in 2016, it is one of the largest cat cafes in the prefecture, with about 20 cats in a cat room of around 20 tatami mats. Most are rescued mixed-breed cats taken in from local rescue groups, alongside a few older pedigree cats such as a Maine Coon, a Norwegian Forest Cat and a Ragdoll. Visits are charged by time, with 30- and 60-minute plans and a free-time course, and drinks from the drink machine are included. A separate cafe space with Wi-Fi looks onto the cat room through glass, and outside food and drink may be brought into that area. Cats are adopted out to new families, which the cafe calls graduating.
