Adrianuzca's Cat Café
Adrianuzca's Cat Café is a rescue cat cafe on Avenida Gorlero, the main street of the Punta del Este peninsula, a short walk from the port. Opened in December 2017, it was the first cat cafe in Uruguay. The cats are mostly rescued adults, many of them ill or with special needs, taken in directly or from shelters and other rescuers, and the cafe's income pays for their veterinary care, vaccinations and neutering. Cats can be adopted through a screening process. The menu is entirely vegetarian and vegan, with coffee, smoothies and cakes, and cat-shaped latte art. Every visitor must order something to enter, staff explain the house rules for interacting with the cats before you go in, and the cats have their own area they can retreat to. Children must be at least 8. The cafe opens Friday to Monday in the afternoon.

Gatogasinos Cat Café
