Cat Cafes in Sao Paulo

São Paulo

Gatcha, situated in São Paulo’s Galeria Metrópole, is a charming cat cafe that blends a matcha-focused menu with a heartwarming mission to support shelter cats. Guests can enjoy 15-minute sessions with adoptable kittens for 15 reais or extend their visit to 30 minutes for 25 reais, interacting with a rotating group of eight felines—all neutered, FIV/FELV tested, and sourced from a local shelter in partnership with ONG Abrigo São Gabriel. The kittens, including standouts like the long-term resident Frajolinha, are notably docile, thriving under daily visitor attention in a well-maintained, caring environment. The cafe specializes in matcha, a bitter green tea, offering drinks that may not suit those craving sweetness, while the food menu remains limited due to spatial constraints and the presence of cats—think small bites rather than full meals. Orders and kitten appointments are conveniently managed at the counter, where visitors can also inquire about donating cats to the cause. Despite its modest culinary variety, Gatcha shines as a welcoming spot for cat lovers, delivering friendly service and a chance to connect with adorable, adoptable kittens in a unique urban oasis.
