Cat Cafes in Malaysia
There are 67 cat cafes in Malaysia.
Enn Cat Cafe
Johor Bahru
Enn Cat Cafe is a homely, family-run cat cafe on Jalan Adda 3/1 in Adda Heights, Johor Bahru, that feels more like visiting a relative's house than a commercial venue. Its friendly, affectionate cats wander freely and happily demand to be petted, and some can be held, depending on their personality; one of the best known is Jebat, an enormous cat. Entry is RM15 per person, one of the lowest fees in the city, and the owners know their breeds well and enjoy explaining them to visitors. The kitchen serves hearty cafe food such as chicken chop with fries, spaghetti with meatballs, chicken wings, cheesy wedges and brownies with ice cream, and the cats are trained to leave diners alone. Enn also runs a cat hotel. Bookings are taken by WhatsApp, and it is wise to message before visiting.
Catzz Pavilion
Iskandar Puteri, Johor
Catzz Pavilion is a three-storey cat shop on Jalan Eko Botani 3/4 in Eco Botanic, Iskandar Puteri, with a cat petting area upstairs. The ground floor is a pet store selling cat food and supplies, while the upper floors house grooming, daycare and a boarding facility, plus a lounge where visitors can play with the shop's own cats. The resident cats are large, healthy and tame, and unusually keen to play with guests. Entry to the petting area is charged by the hour (RM25 per hour in 2024), and only simple drinks are available, so come for the cats rather than the food. The petting area has been open only on certain days in the past, so contact the shop before visiting. Ventilation upstairs can be stuffy on busy days, and members get a discount.
Cat Walk Studio
Malacca
Cat Walk Studio, which bills itself as the first cat cafe in Malacca, is on Jalan KF 1 at the Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC) in Ayer Keroh. Its many resident cats of various breeds live in a special glass-walled cat room next to the dining area, and visitors can go inside to play with, feed and photograph them. The cats are friendly and affectionate, which makes it popular with families with young children. The kitchen serves halal local food and East Javanese Indonesian cuisine, with rice sets of fried chicken, salted egg and smoked meat among the choices. Alongside the cafe, the business runs cat grooming and a cat hotel and sells pet supplies, so local cat owners also come for baths, trims and boarding.

Meow Meow Cat Cafe
Kuching, Sarawak
Meow Meow Cat Cafe is the first cat cafe in Kuching, the City of Cats, and has been running since August 2014 from a first-floor shophouse on Jalan Green in Sin Yen Garden, about ten minutes' drive from the Kuching Waterfront. The cafe keeps its dining area separate from a clean cat room, where a small group of resident cats lounge, nap and wander over when treats appear. Some are sociable and some prefer to watch from a distance, so let them come to you rather than chasing them. Entry to the cat room has been RM10 per person with no fixed time limit, although visits may be capped at an hour when it gets busy. The menu is short: coffee, tea and light bites such as fries. The owners describe the cafe as a place where cats act as therapy for stressed humans.
Caturday Studio
Kota Kinabalu, Sabah
Caturday Studio is a cat petting studio on the first floor of Block F at Lintas Jaya Uptownship, off the Kepayan Highway in Kota Kinabalu. The bright, spotless lounge is home to a large group of fluffy, well-groomed cats of several breeds, among them British Shorthairs, and the staff know every one by name. Entry is RM18 for adults and RM13 for children, which includes a free drink and unlimited time with the cats. Most of the residents are calm and curious, which makes it a relaxed place to read, chat or get some work done, and the studio also markets itself as a small co-working space with coffee. The business is run by a cat breeder: alongside the lounge it offers cat boarding, nutrition advice and cat treats, and it breeds British Shorthair kittens for sale.
Cat & Mei Cafe
Kota Kinabalu, Sabah
Cat & Mei Cafe is a cosy, homely cafe on the first floor of a shop row on Jalan Tasik in Luyang Perdana, Kota Kinabalu. It is best known for its homemade cakes and bakes, from burnt cheesecake and carrot cake to its much-loved quiches, along with rustic comfort food such as nasi lemak, salads and pasta, and a short daily menu that changes often. The cats are the other draw: around five to seven resident cats live on the cafe's balcony, each with a name sign, and diners are welcome to sit out there, relax and play with them. Some are affectionate and approachable, while others spend the afternoon asleep. There is no pork on the menu, and whole cakes can be ordered in advance. It is a quiet spot for lunch, coffee or an afternoon of working on a laptop with cats nearby.
Salmon and Friends Cat Café
Tuaran, Sabah
Salmon and Friends Cat Café is a small cat cafe and matcha bar at Plaza Legasi Sulaman in Tuaran, north of Kota Kinabalu, in the same row as Mr DIY. It opened in September 2025 and is named after its lead cat, Salmon, who shares a separate cat area with around seven fluffy, well-fed companions, including Milly, a clever cat who has learned to open doors. To visit the cats you order at least one food or drink item, and the cat area takes up to four people at a time, so there may be a short wait when it is busy. The menu centres on matcha drinks such as strawberry and earl grey matcha, plus coffee, ramen, fries and other quick bites. The cafe is clean and quiet, welcomes children, and now and then hosts matcha pop-ups.
Check each cafe's website for current hours, booking requirements and age restrictions before visiting.
