Cat Cafe mikanneko (美観neko) is a small cat cafe on the second floor of a building in Chuo, Kurashiki, about seven minutes on foot from JR Kurashiki Station and close to the Bikan historical quarter. Around fifteen resident cats live in the cafe, and visitors spend time with them over coffee and simple drinks in a quiet, homely room. The cafe reopened after a renewal in July 2026 and now stays open into the evening, later on Fridays, Saturdays and the day before a public holiday. It is closed on Mondays, or on Tuesday when Monday is a holiday. Outside animals cannot be brought in. The same owner also runs Sanuki Neko in Utazu, Kagawa, which took over the premises of a cat cafe that closed at the end of 2025. Mikanneko works well as a quiet break from sightseeing in Kurashiki's canal district.

ANELLA CAFE Kurashiki is a rescue dog and cat cafe in Sakazu, Kurashiki, directly opposite AEON Mall Kurashiki and about 18 minutes on foot from Kyujo-mae Station on the Mizushima Line, with a few parking spaces. Part of the nationwide ANELLA chain, it has a dog floor and a cat area where rescued animals live while they wait for new families, and several dogs and cats have been adopted from here. Adoptions are arranged through ANELLA's own process. Visits are charged per 30 minutes, with lower rates for elementary school children, seniors and visitors with disabilities, and preschoolers enter free. Treats are rationed rather than unlimited. The cafe is open every day from noon and also works as a welfare workplace where staff with disabilities help care for the animals.

Kurashiki, Okayama

Somali is a cat cafe and bar in Kawanishimachi, Kurashiki, about four minutes on foot from Kurashiki-shi Station on the Mizushima Line. All of the resident cats are Somalis from one family, raised together, and they are friendly enough to climb onto visitors' shoulders and backs. At the cats' mealtime, food is handed out to visitors free of charge so they can feed the cats. The menu runs to about 100 items, including coffee, soft drinks, desserts such as parfaits, and alcohol, so it works both as a daytime cafe and as an evening bar. The space is small, with around 12 seats including counter seats, and reservations can be made online. It is open every day until late evening, with occasional irregular closures.

Kurashiki, Okayama

Cat Café MOFF Ario Kurashiki is a chain cat cafe on the second floor of the Ario Kurashiki shopping mall, next to JR Kurashiki Station. It is home to about 23 cats of around 15 breeds, including Scottish Folds and American Shorthairs, and the cafe serves a full drink menu with latte art based on the resident cats. Visitors can watch the cats eat together at feeding time and buy food to feed them. Entry is charged per 30 minutes with one drink order, then in 10-minute increments, with a daily maximum that is higher at weekends. No booking is needed, children aged three and under enter free, and children of elementary school age and younger must come with a paying adult. There are also semi-private seating areas. The cafe follows the mall's opening days, with last entry 30 minutes before closing.
