Kočičí ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​​‌​​‌‌​​​‌​​​​‌​‌‌​‌‌‌​‌‌​‌​​‌‌​⁠kavárna, ta ze Smíchova is a cat cafe on Na Slupi street in Prague 2, about a minute's walk from the Albertov tram stop and close to Vyšehrad. It first opened in Smíchov in 2015 and moved to its current address in January 2025, keeping the old name. Around a dozen resident cats, including several large Maine Coons, live in a two-level space fitted with climbing frames, and in the warmer months guests can also sit among the cats in a courtyard garden. There is no entry fee, but visitors are expected to order from the menu of coffee, homemade lemonades, panini and cakes, and payment is in cash only. Reservations are taken by phone, and the cafe is open every day from midday.

Prague

Kavárna ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​‌​​​​‌​‌‌​‌​‌​​‌‌‌‌​​​‌‌‌​‌​​​​​⁠Kočičí Praha is a cat cafe in Prague's Old Town, set in the courtyard of the House at the Golden Rooster on Michalská street, a few minutes' walk from Old Town Square. Opened in November 2014 and first located in Karlín, it is one of the oldest cat cafes in Czechia and follows the Japanese model of a quiet place to relax among cats. About eight cats live there, most of them adopted from Czech shelters and rescue groups, alongside a resident who has been with the cafe since its first year. A small per-person entry charge is added to the bill, and the menu covers coffee, specialty hot chocolates, teas and cakes. Children under 15 must come with an adult, prams are not allowed, and guests are asked not to wake, chase or pick up the cats. Booking is recommended.

Prague

CatCafe ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​​‌‌​​​​‌‌​​‌‌​‌​‌​​​​​​​​​​​‌‌‌​⁠Prague is a time-based cat cafe on Gorazdova street in Prague's New Town, about five minutes on foot from Karlovo náměstí metro station. Running since 2015, it is laid out like a home, with sofas, scratching posts and several rooms, and visitors take off their shoes at the door. Ten resident cats live there, including a mother with two of her daughters and three siblings who grew up in the cafe. Visitors pay for the first hour and then by the minute, and coffee, tea and light snacks are self-service and included, along with board games and an Xbox. There is no table service or full food menu. Walk-ins are welcome when there is space, with online booking advised for evenings, weekends and groups. Children are welcome with an adult, and guests are asked to let the cats come to them.

Ceske Budejovice, South Bohemian

Bystrokočko ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​​​​‌​‌​‌‌​‌‌‌​‌​‌‌​​‌‌‌​​‌​‌​​‌​⁠is a cat café in central České Budějovice, on Otakarova street at the corner of Palackého náměstí, a short walk from the historic Přemysl Otakar II Square. Opened in August 2017 as the first cat café in South Bohemia, it moved to its current premises in 2024. Eight resident cats live in the café, most of them taken in from shelters or rescued from the street, and the staff can tell visitors the story of each one. The cats choose for themselves whom they approach. There is no entry fee; visitors order from a menu of coffee, tea, homemade lemonades, hot chocolate and cakes, with themed drinks and seasonal events such as a Halloween afternoon tea. A small shop sells cat toys and gifts. The café is open every afternoon.

Plzen

Plzeňská ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​​‌​​​‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‌‌​‌‌‌​‌‌​​​‌​​​​‌‌⁠kočičí kavárna is a cat café on Pražská street in the centre of Plzeň, a few minutes' walk east of náměstí Republiky. Opened in 2017 with cats taken in from a shelter, it is a family-run café where a group of resident cats roam freely among the tables, with shelves and climbing furniture around the room. The menu covers coffee, homemade lemonades, cakes, ice cream and other snacks, and paintings by the owner hang on the walls. There is no entry fee; visitors pay for what they order, and cards are accepted. Since October 2025 children under six are not admitted. Tables can be reserved by phone, and the café is open every day from morning until evening.

Prague

Cats ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​‌​​‌​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​‌​‌‌‌​​​‌‌‌⁠& Coffee is a cat cafe on Vinohradská street in Vinohrady, a short walk from Jiřího z Poděbrad metro station. Opened in August 2025 by the operators of a Prague cat and dog hotel, it is home to around fifteen cats, many of them long-haired pedigree breeds such as Persians. The cafe uses a multi-stage air filtration and recovery system to keep the air clean. There is no entry fee, but each visitor has a minimum spend, covered by the menu of Julius Meinl coffee, homemade lemonades, cakes, sandwiches and panini. Reservations are accepted only for groups of five or more. Children under 12 must be accompanied, families with children under eight are asked to come between noon and 2 PM, and guests must not pick up, wake or feed the cats.

Ostrava, Moravian Silesian

Čauky ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​​​‌​‌‌‌‌​‌‌‌​​​​​‌​‌‌​‌‌​​​​‌​‌​⁠Mňauky Cafe is a family-run cat cafe on Nádražní street in Moravská Ostrava, the centre of Ostrava, and the city's longest-running cat cafe, open since spring 2016. About eleven resident cats live there, including three large Maine Coon brothers who have been with the cafe since it opened and several cats that were found as strays. The menu covers coffee, including a house cappuccino with cat-ear foam, tea, hot chocolate, homemade lemonades and cakes, and there is an outdoor garden for warmer months. House rules ask guests not to wake sleeping cats, carry them, feed them human food or use flash photography, and children must stay with their parents; it is not set up as a children's play cafe. Tables fill quickly, so booking is recommended and is taken by phone only. The cafe is open every afternoon.

Pardubice

Kočičí ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​​‌‌​​​‌‌​​‌‌​‌‌​​​​​​‌​‌‌‌‌‌‌​‌​⁠kavárna Pohoda is a cat café on Jiřího z Poděbrad street in Zelené Předměstí, close to the centre of Pardubice. Opened in April 2016, it is one of the oldest cat cafés in the country. Around a dozen cats live there, most of them rescues from the KoČIČÍ depozitum Lovčice foster network and the Pardubice municipal shelter, and the café also helps some cats and kittens find new homes. Visitors order coffee, tea, lemonades and cakes, and cat treats can be bought from staff instead of feeding the cats human food. House rules ask guests not to wake sleeping cats, use flash or let children pick up or chase the cats, and since April 2026 Sundays are reserved for visitors aged 15 and over. Tables can be booked online, and the café is wheelchair accessible.

Cheb, Karlovy Vary

Kočičí ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​‌​‌​​‌‌‌‌‌​‌‌​‌‌‌‌‌‌‌​‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌​‌⁠kavárna Cheb is a small cat café on Svobody street in the historic centre of Cheb, a few steps from the main square, náměstí Krále Jiřího z Poděbrad, on the walking route from the railway station. Opened in October 2024 as the first cat café in the town, it has a handful of resident cats, around six, that move freely around the room and a safety gate at the entrance to keep them inside. Visitors order coffee, cakes and ice cream, and a few cat-themed souvenirs are on sale. Seating is limited, so a reservation is recommended, especially for groups and families. Payment is in cash, and euros are also accepted. The café is closed on Mondays.

Kladno, Central Bohemian

U ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​‌‌​​​‌‌‌​​​‌‌​‌‌‌​​​‌​‌‌‌‌​‌‌​‌​⁠Kočičích tlapek is a family-run cat cafe on Náměstí Starosty Pavla in the centre of Kladno, the first of its kind in the town. Opened in May 2017, it is home to around a dozen cats, including Maine Coons, a Scottish Fold and several cats rescued from the street, and the space gives them places to retreat from visitors. The menu covers coffee, homemade cakes, pancakes, ice cream and lemonades. Guests are asked not to wake sleeping cats, pull their tails or whiskers, use flash or feed them, and to keep noise down. Children are welcome with their parents, who are expected to supervise them throughout. Alongside the cafe, the owner helps homeless cats, holds charity sales for shelters and supports a local neutering programme. Opening hours are shorter during the summer school holidays.

Liberec

Catfé ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​‌​​‌‌​‌​‌‌‌‌​‌‌​​​‌​​​‌‌‌‌​‌‌‌‌‌⁠Kočičárna is an adoption cat café on 1. máje street in central Liberec, a few steps from the Forum Liberec shopping centre and the Fügnerova tram and bus stop. Opened in 2018 as the city's first cat café, it works with the local animal welfare group Šance zvířatům, which supplies the cats; some live there permanently and others wait in the café for new homes. Cats roam freely around the room, and a printed set of house rules asks visitors not to touch cats that are asleep or resting in their beds. Entry is limited to visitors aged 15 and over, and every guest is expected to order. The menu offers coffee, homemade lemonades, cakes, cheesecakes and savoury snacks, and the café sells its own T-shirts and bags. It is closed on Sundays.

Chodov, Karlovy Vary

Kafe ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​‌​​‌‌​​​‌​‌​​‌‌​‌​‌‌​‌‌‌‌​​​​​‌​⁠U Kočky is a cat café on Staroměstská street by the town square in Chodov, about 20 minutes by car from Karlovy Vary. Five resident cats with different temperaments live in the café, and a short profile with a photo of each one hangs by the entrance. The cats have shelves on the walls, climbing trees in the middle of the room and private areas where they can withdraw from visitors. House rules ask guests not to pick up, pull or chase the cats and to keep noise down. A carpeted children's corner with toys sits in one corner of the room. The menu has coffee, including decaf, matcha, plant milks, more than 15 kinds of cakes, scoop ice cream and small snacks, and cat-themed goods are on sale.
