Bystrokočko is a cat café in central České Budějovice, on Otakarova street at the corner of Palackého náměstí, a short walk from the historic Přemysl Otakar II Square. Opened in August 2017 as the first cat café in South Bohemia, it moved to its current premises in 2024. Eight resident cats live in the café, most of them taken in from shelters or rescued from the street, and the staff can tell visitors the story of each one. The cats choose for themselves whom they approach. There is no entry fee; visitors order from a menu of coffee, tea, homemade lemonades, hot chocolate and cakes, with themed drinks and seasonal events such as a Halloween afternoon tea. A small shop sells cat toys and gifts. The café is open every afternoon.
