Neko no March

Neko no March is a rescue cat salon on the second floor of a building in Sagamihara, Chuo Ward, two to three minutes on foot from JR Sagamihara Station. Every cat is a rescue available for adoption, and adoption involves an application, a meeting, a written pledge, a two-week trial and an adoption fee. The salon is also an employment support facility, where staff with disabilities care for the cats and make handmade goods sold in the shop. Visits are charged for a first hour and then per 30 minutes, with lower rates for children and bottled or canned drinks included. All ages are welcome, with young children accompanied by a guardian. Collars show which cats are happy to be touched, and the first ten visitors each day get a free cat treat. Socks are required, outside food and drinks are not allowed, and the salon is closed on Wednesdays.
