Neko Gakuen II
Neko Gakuen II is the weekend branch of Neko Gakuen, a volunteer-run rescue cat facility in Machida that looks for new homes for the cats in its care. It is in Kisonishi, behind the 100 yen House Lemon store, about 1.7 km north of Kobuchi Station on the JR Yokohama Line, and has parking for two or three cars. The branch opened in early 2025 and is open on Saturday, Sunday and public holiday afternoons, when the main facility in Tadao is closed. There is no time charge: each visitor makes a donation that includes one drink and about an hour with the cats, and masks are required. Adoption meetings and other events are held here, kittens are shown when the group has them, and anyone hoping to adopt an adult cat can arrange a weekday visit to the main facility. The group also offers cat boarding.

Neko Gakuen
Machida, Tokyo0.9 mi / 1.4 km
Neko Gakuen is a volunteer-run rescue cat facility in Tadao, Machida, right by the Obirin Gakuen Higashi bus stop. Opened in February 2020, it describes itself as a shelter devoted to rehoming rather than an ordinary cat cafe: instead of an hourly charge, visitors receive one drink and are asked for a donation of a set minimum while they spend time with the cats. It is normally open from noon to 4 p.m. every day, but because it depends on its director and volunteers, visitors are asked to get in touch before coming, and it closes when no staff are available. Adopters are recruited on an ongoing basis. The group also uses a second site in Kiso-nishi for adoption events and goods sales, and offers cat boarding. There is no dedicated parking, though bicycles can be left on site.
