Cat Cafe MOCHA Machida JORNA is a branch of the MOCHA cat cafe chain on the fourth floor of the Machida JORNA shopping building in Haramachida 6-chome, two minutes' walk from the central gate of JR Machida Station and five minutes from the west exit of Odakyu Machida Station. About 18 pedigree cats live here, and they are fed at 11 AM and 7 PM. No reservations are taken. Visits are charged per 10 minutes, ¥297 on weekdays and ¥385 at weekends and on holidays, with a daily cap of ¥3,960 or ¥4,620 (tax included). Children aged 3 and over are admitted, and children below junior-high age must come with a guardian, up to three per adult. It is open from 10:30 AM to 8 PM (last entry 7:30 PM) and closes when the building does. There is a drink bar, outside drinks are allowed but outside food is not, and no meals are served. Treats can be bought to give the cats, and visitors are asked not to chase or pick up the cats or use flash.

Neko Gakuen is a volunteer-run rescue cat facility in Tadao, Machida, right by the Obirin Gakuen Higashi bus stop. Opened in February 2020, it describes itself as a shelter devoted to rehoming rather than an ordinary cat cafe: instead of an hourly charge, visitors receive one drink and are asked for a donation of a set minimum while they spend time with the cats.
