Emineko Rescue Cat Cafe
Emineko is a small rescue cat cafe in a residential part of Uesonocho, Meito Ward, Nagoya, registered since 2018. Its cats come from the Nagoya City Animal Welfare Center, and the owner trains them to be comfortable with people, so many are lap cats; around 20 cats live here, including older cats in hospice care and FIV-positive cats. Visits are by reservation, made by phone, and the number of guests is limited so that each group has time with the cats. The flat fee has no time limit and includes a drink and a snack, with a lower rate for children of elementary school age and under, and part of the fee supports the cats' care. Socks are required. The cafe is closed on Mondays (Tuesday when Monday is a holiday), and there is one free parking space.
