CATS WELCARE Abeno
CATS WELCARE Abeno is a rescue cat room run by the certified NPO CATS WELCARE on the upper floor of Holy House, a renovated old house in Sanmeicho, Abeno Ward. It is about 4 minutes on foot from Kintetsu Kobo-guchi Station, 8 minutes from JR Bishoen Station and 14 minutes from Tennoji Station. Opened in April 2025 with funding from a crowdfunding campaign, the building pairs the cat room with a natural Japanese food cafe on the ground floor. The cats are rescues, many from multi-cat hoarding cases, and are available for adoption through the group's application process and regular adoption events. Visitors do not need to be adopters. Visits are charged per 30 minutes, the fees support the cats' care, and children aged 2 and over pay the regular rate. Phone reservations are recommended.
