Neko to Cafe Osaka Tennoji
Neko to Cafe Osaka Tennoji is an adoption-focused rescue cat cafe in Shinboincho, Tennoji Ward, about 5 to 7 minutes on foot from JR Momodani Station and 5 to 10 minutes from Shitennoji-mae Yuhigaoka Station. It specialises in adult rescue cats, whose personalities can be hard to see at adoption events, and has a homely room with manga to read. A cat named Latte acts as the shop manager. The first 30 minutes include one drink, after which time extends automatically in 30-minute blocks up to a daily maximum. Elementary school children pay half price, and children of junior high age or younger cannot visit without an adult. Reservations through LINE are recommended. Adoptions follow an entry and trial process. In 2026 the cafe ran a crowdfunding campaign to stay open and restructure.

Dolbom Uehommachi is an adoption-focused dog and cat cafe in Uehommachinishi, Chuo Ward, about 1 minute on foot from Kintetsu Osaka-Uehommachi Station and Exit 8 of Tanimachi 9-chome Station. It continues the work of the Hogoken Cafe Higashi-Dotonbori, which ran for about ten years before moving here. Rescued dogs and cats live at the cafe while waiting for new families, and staff trained as animal trainers work on socialisation and behaviour before adoption. Visitors choose a cat-only pass or a combined dog and cat pass, both including one drink and animal treats. Weekday visits have no time limit, though a two-hour limit applies when busy, and weekend and holiday visits are 90 minutes. Preschool children pay a reduced rate and babies under one enter free. Adopted animals come with health checks by visiting vets, vaccinations, microchips and aftercare. The site also has a grooming salon and is closed on Wednesdays.

Diorama Shokudo
Osaka0.6 mi / 1.0 km
Diorama Shokudo is a rescue cat cafe and shelter in Teradacho, Tennoji Ward, about two to three minutes on foot from the north exit of JR Teradacho Station on the Osaka Loop Line. It began as a railway-themed diner built around a model railway diorama and took in its first cats around 2020. Rescued cats and kittens now roam through the miniature railway scenery and a low-ceilinged loft upstairs. Since 1 August 2026 regular meal service has ended and visits are charged by the hour with one drink included; there is a one-hour break in mid-afternoon. Reservations are recommended. The cafe works with rescue groups across Japan and treats every day as an adoption day; adoption involves screening, and cats are not handed over on the day of the first visit. It is open every day, staff can help in English, and the cafe is not wheelchair accessible.
