Cat Cafe micia-micio is a rescue cat cafe in Showacho, Abeno Ward, about 3 minutes on foot from Showacho Station on the Midosuji Line and 5 minutes from Fuminosato Station on the Tanimachi Line. It opened in May 2017, and its cats, including kittens the staff have hand-reared, are looking for adoptive homes. There are two cat rooms. The ground-floor Western-style room is charged per 30, 60 or 90 minutes, and weekday visits include a cat treat. The upstairs tatami room is open until late afternoon to visitors of junior high school age and older, and combined courses use both rooms. Outside food, drinks and toys are not allowed. Children aged 3 and under are not admitted, children of elementary school age and younger must stay with a guardian, and young children may not pick up the cats. The cafe is closed on Wednesdays.
