Cats in Bloom
Cats in Bloom is a nonprofit cat cafe and adoption lounge on West Main Street in downtown Bloomsburg, near Bloomsburg University. Founded in 2019 and run entirely by volunteers and donors, it houses cats and kittens from a network of foster homes and local rescues in a low-stress, home-like space, with a separate kitten room, and often has several dozen cats in residence. All are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and available for adoption. Visitors do not have to be looking to adopt: they can simply relax, read or study among the cats. Entry is a small per-person fee for an hour, visitors must be at least five years old and sign a waiver on their first visit, and children 14 and under need an adult with them. No food is served. On the first Friday of each month the cafe stays open into the evening.
