Cat ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​​‌​‌‌​‌​​‌​​‌‌​‌‌​​​​‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌​​‌⁠Cafe Calm is a small cat cafe in a quiet residential part of Nakasakurazuka, Toyonaka, about seven minutes' walk from Okamachi Station on the Hankyu Takarazuka Line. It opened on 24 June 2010 and keeps only rescued cats, all looking for homes; the owner also volunteers for local stray cats, and the cafe closes on the days of the regular adoption fairs it takes part in with the Toyonaka rescue group Toyonaka Neko no Kagishippo. Visits are charged by the hour, ¥800 without a drink or ¥1,000 with one, plus ¥200 per 15-minute extension, and the first hour is paid on arrival. No booking is needed. Children are admitted from the first year of primary school, and preschool children are not admitted. Shoes are changed for slippers at the door. It is open from 1 PM to 7 PM (last entry 6 PM) and is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

It opened in March 2026 in a bright, sunlit room with a sofa, two raised tatami areas and flat seating where visitors can relax while the cats wander freely. Five resident cats make up the staff, including a cat called Tono who serves as the shop manager. Visits are paid in advance as a one-hour set that includes a drink, and extensions are available. Cat treats can be bought at the counter in limited daily quantities, and socks are required on the floor. Reservations are taken by phone or in person rather than through social media. The cafe is closed on Thursdays and Sundays, and it also sells handmade cat-themed goods.

The cat room is home to a small group of rescued cats, including Hope, Leo and Rea, and is open whenever the cafe is open. Entry to the room is by a small donation per person, with lower rates for children, and each guest orders one drink. There is no time limit, though stays may be capped at two hours when busy. Walk-ins are accepted when there is space, but reservations by Instagram message are recommended, especially at weekends. Socks are required, chocolate items are not served in the room, and only treats sold by the shop may be given to the cats. Pets are welcome in the main cafe, and the shop occasionally runs evening bar nights.

Cafe ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​​‌‌‌​​‌‌‌‌​‌‌​​​​‌‌‌​‌​‌‌​‌​​​‌​⁠Caren Wan Nyan Land is a dog and cat cafe in Hattori Motomachi, Toyonaka, about 3 minutes on foot from Hankyu Hattori-Tenjin Station, on the sixth floor of the Royal Space Building. It is home to one rescue dog, a French Bulldog named Mamu, and six rescue cats, among them Scottish Folds and a black cat. The animals move around at their own pace and visitors are asked to interact with them gently rather than chase them. The daytime cafe runs on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from noon, with unlimited time for the price of one drink or food order. On most evenings except Mondays it also operates as a night cafe with all-you-can-drink courses. The cafe is closed on Mondays.
