Pingu Cat Cafè

Pingu Cat Cafè is a cat café on Carretera de Montcada in Terrassa, about nine minutes on foot from Terrassa Rambla station on the FGC S1 line from Plaça de Catalunya. Opened in July 2022, it acts as a foster home for cats and kittens from several animal associations: they live in the café until a family adopts them, and then new cats arrive. The cats have a quiet room they can retreat to when they want a break from visitors. There is no entry fee, but each visitor orders at least one drink or item. The menu leans Japanese, with dorayaki, taiyaki and mochi alongside café drinks, plus vegan toasties and vegan chocolate spread. Reserving a table is recommended. The team takes the café's merchandise to manga and comic conventions around Catalonia and sometimes closes on those weekends, so it is worth checking Instagram before travelling.
