It occupies a house built around 70 years ago that once served as an acupuncture clinic, and it keeps a Showa-era interior that feels like visiting a grandparent's home. The resident cats are Scottish Folds that live with the one-person operator. Only one group is admitted at a time, and visits are booked in advance through Instagram, LINE, the website form or by phone, with plans from 30 minutes to several hours; longer plans include a cat treat, and there are reduced rates for children. The cafe usually runs from morning to evening on an irregular schedule and may close when there are no bookings. Takoyaki is also made and sold on site.

Neko no Wa is an adoption-focused rescue cat cafe in Kumanocho Nishi, Sakai Ward, about 3 minutes on foot from Nankai Sakai Station. It is run by BASE, a care and welfare business, and pairs elder-care support with cat rescue: visitors can also ask the staff for advice about caring for family members. The building has a small counter-seat cafe on the ground floor serving coffee, tea, sandwiches and lunch dishes, and the cat room is upstairs, where rescued cats live while they wait for new homes. The current cat cafe opened under the Neko no Wa name on July 25, 2026, after the space had previously hosted another group's adoption cafe. It opens on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, with irregular weekday opening, and enquiries and bookings are taken by Instagram message or phone.

ANELLA CAFE Osaka Sakai is a rescue dog and cat cafe in Ichinocho Higashi, Sakai Ward, about 10 minutes on foot from Sakaihigashi Station on the Nankai Koya Line and 17 minutes from Nankai Sakai Station. Opened on July 24, 2026 as the 39th branch of the ANELLA chain and its third in Osaka Prefecture, it has separate areas where visitors spend time with rescued dogs and cats waiting for new families. Cats at this branch have included a Siberian and a Scottish Fold, and adoptions are arranged through ANELLA's own screening process. No reservation is needed. Visits are charged per 30 minutes with 15-minute extensions, elementary school children, seniors and visitors with disabilities pay reduced rates, and preschoolers enter free. The cafe is open every day. It doubles as a welfare workplace where staff with disabilities help care for the animals, and grooming is offered on site.

Nyantopia is a rescue cat cafe in Kuramaecho, Kita Ward, Sakai, run by volunteers from the rescue group Osaka Neko Club. It is about 13 minutes on foot from Kitahanada Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line, 14 minutes from JR Sakaishi Station, and 3 minutes from the Koen Kitaguchi bus stop. All of the resident cats were rescued, and the floor above the cafe is the group's shelter, where more cats wait for homes. Visits are charged by the hour with one drink included and 30-minute extensions, children up to junior high school age pay less, and children aged 3 and under enter free; payment is cash only. Visitors interested in adopting can talk to the staff, and the shelter also holds adoption events by reservation. The cafe is closed on Thursdays and Fridays, and all takings go to the care of the cats.

Cat Cafe KiKi is a cat cafe on Route 310 in Kusao, Higashi Ward, Sakai, about 2 minutes by car south of the Fukuda intersection and roughly 12 minutes on foot from Kitanoda Station on the Nankai Koya Line; it has a 15-car car park. The building is split into a cafe area and a separate cat room, and diners can watch the cats through a large glass window while eating. The menu includes spaghetti, curry and cat-face pancakes. Time in the cat room is charged by the hour with a one-drink order, and it is booked by phone, while cafe-only tables can be reserved online. Some of the cats were taken in after being abandoned near the shop. The cafe is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, opening instead when a public holiday falls on one of those days and closing the following day.

Neko no Ouchi Nyan Meet is a cat house inside Sakai Midori Museum Harvest Hill, a farm park in the hills of Minami Ward, Sakai. The park is reached by Nankai bus from Izumigaoka Station on the Senboku Line, a ride of about 20 minutes, and has its own admission charge. Inside the cat house, small groups of up to 10 people spend 15-minute sessions with the resident cats, which can climb onto laps but may not be picked up. Sessions run several times each afternoon, with numbered tickets handed out at the entrance from park opening until they run out, and there is a small separate charge per person on top of park admission, payable in cash. It is open to visitors aged 7 and over, and children aged 7 to 9 must be accompanied by an adult. The cat house closes on some days each month.
