The space covers roughly 4,000 square feet and is home to several dozen cats that roam freely between the tables. URBAN Cafe is a non-profit chain that takes in stray and abandoned cats and dogs, works with animal welfare groups on medical care and rehoming, and offers jobs to long-term unemployed people and people with disabilities. There is no entry fee: guests order food and drinks, with a minimum spend per person that is higher in the evening. The menu covers pasta, risotto, burgers, pizza, set lunches and afternoon tea sets, and cat treats are sold on site. Tables can be booked online or by WhatsApp.

Catfe ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​‌​‌​​‌‌‌‌‌​‌​​‌‌​​‌​​​‌​​​‌​‌‌​​⁠is a camping-themed cat restaurant on the 4th floor of Ko's House on Nathan Road, about three minutes on foot from Yau Ma Tei MTR Station Exit A1. At around 1,600 to 2,000 square feet it is one of the larger cat cafes in Mong Kok, with wooden decor, tatami floor seating, a swing and artificial grass. Around 30 or more cats live in the cafe, most of them rescued strays, and some can be adopted on the spot. There is no entry fee; instead each guest orders from the menu, with a minimum spend per person that is higher at weekends, plus a service charge. Stays are unlimited at quiet times and limited to about 90 minutes at busy times. The kitchen serves pasta, burgers, rice plates, all-day breakfast, desserts and drinks, and cat treats are sold at the counter. Booking ahead is recommended at weekends.

It belongs to a local chain founded in 2014 whose cats are all adopted former strays, and the chain gives supplies and part of its income to stray cat volunteers and rescue groups. Many of the cats can be adopted, and prospective adopters may visit them free of charge. Visits are charged by the hour, with a weekday all-day option, and include free-flow coffee and tea. There is no kitchen, so takeaway food may be brought in; cakes, cat treats and teaser toys are sold at the counter, and board games and comics are available. Cats may not be picked up, and children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult.

QRF ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​​‌​​​‌‌​​​‌​‌​​‌‌​‌‌‌‌​​‌‌‌​​​‌​⁠火之神 is a small ground-floor Japanese-style restaurant at the southern end of Tung Choi Street, the Ladies' Market street in Mong Kok, about five minutes on foot from Mong Kok MTR Station Exit E2. Around eight to ten resident cats wander freely among the tables, including Ragdolls and other pedigree breeds, and kittens are sometimes present. There is no entry fee or time charge: each guest orders at least one item, with a low minimum spend, and can then stay and pet the cats that come over. The menu is simple and inexpensive, with omurice, Japanese curry, chicken steak and pork chop rice bowls, noodles, fried snacks and drinks, and there is a weekday discount. The dining room is narrow, with booth seating, so tables may be shared at busy times. It is open every day from midday until the late evening.
