Nekochan to Issho is a cat cafe on the third floor of a building in Yamashitacho, about two minutes on foot from Exit 3 of Motomachi-Chukagai Station on the Minatomirai Line, close to Yokohama Chinatown. It is home to about 20 cats and is not a rescue cafe, though visit fees help fund cat welfare work. Visits are charged for an initial 30 minutes and then in 10-minute steps, with free drinks on every plan, and a weekday online plan includes a cat treat. Walk-ins are welcome, and online booking is available. It stays open until 10 PM, later than most cat cafes in the area. There is no age limit, but children of elementary school age and younger must come with an adult. Socks are required, visitors may not pick up the cats, and guests who have been to another animal cafe that day are not admitted.
Neko Cafe Leon
Yokohama, Kanagawa
Neko Cafe Leon is a cat cafe a minute's walk from the north exit of JR Ishikawacho Station, near Yokohama Chinatown. Opened in 2008, it was the first cat cafe in Yokohama and is now part of a small group that includes the Nyankuru cafes in Sakuragicho, Kawasaki and Kamata. Every cat in the shop is available for adoption through the Yamanashi rescue group Little Cats, with screening and a trial period before adoption. Visits are charged by time, with a free drink bar of coffee, teas and soft drinks, and longer set and free-time plans are available. Bookings can be made by phone on the day. All ages are welcome, and children of elementary school age and younger must come with a guardian. Visitors may not pick up or chase the cats, and payment is by cash or selected cashless options.

Neko Cafe Cloud

Neko Cafe Cloud is a cat cafe on the second floor of a building in Yamashitacho, near Yokohama Chinatown, about four minutes on foot from JR Ishikawacho Station. It is run by a breeder, and its cats are kittens and young purebreds, including Siberians, Devon Rexes and Ragdolls, some of which are also sold directly to new owners. Visits are charged per 30 minutes, with a weekday three-hour pack, and free tea and coffee are available from a machine. Cat treats can be bought. Elementary school children receive a discount, and children aged three and under enter free. Closing days are irregular. The cafe has a sister shop in Takadanobaba, Tokyo.
Neko no Mori

Neko no Mori is an adoption-focused rescue cat cafe in Shinanocho, Totsuka Ward, Yokohama, about 15 minutes on foot from JR Higashi-Totsuka Station, next to the Shinano Ichirizuka historic milestone. Its cats are former strays, abandoned cats and cats from multi-cat hoarding cases, and their medical care is overseen by a local animal hospital. Visits are by reservation only, made by phone or LINE by the day before, and each time slot takes up to five guests. Visits of one to three hours include a drink, and elementary school children pay half price. Preschool children are not admitted except for adoption meetings. ANELLA CAFE Ryokuentoshi

ANELLA CAFE Ryokuentoshi is a rescue dog and cat cafe at Sotetsu Life Ryokuentoshi, by Ryokuentoshi Station on the Sotetsu Izumino Line, in Izumi Ward, Yokohama. Opened in July 2026 as ANELLA's fifth branch in Kanagawa, it is a place where rescued dogs and cats wait for adoption, and its cat area has a cat wheel and climbing steps. Visits are charged per 30 minutes, with lower rates for elementary school children, seniors and visitors with disabilities, and preschoolers enter free. The cafe is open every day except over the New Year holiday and accepts cash, cards, e-money and QR payments. Like other ANELLA branches, it is also a welfare workplace where staff with disabilities help care for the animals, and it offers grooming. Shared parking is available.

Charme GARDEN

Charme GARDEN is a two-floor rescue cat cafe in Kamiooka-nishi, Konan Ward, Yokohama, five minutes on foot from Kamiooka Station. The ground floor is a cafe serving pasta, plate meals and homemade sweets such as chiffon cake, and upstairs is a room of calm, affectionate rescue cats, looked after by staff involved in rescue work who also find adopters for cats from a partner shelter. Each floor can be used on its own, the cat room is charged by the hour, and drinks may be taken upstairs. On weekdays both floors take phone reservations; at weekends and on holidays, visitors join the queue on arrival. The cafe opened in February 2024, sells rescue-cat calendars and goods, and accepts cards, e-money and QR payments. It is closed on Wednesdays, and there is no parking.

CAT BOX Hogoneko Cafe

CAT BOX Hogoneko Cafe is a small rescue cat cafe in a converted house in Oppamacho, Yokosuka, four minutes on foot from Keikyu Oppama Station, down a back alley behind a blue door. About 18 rescue cats, mostly mixed breeds, live here and are available for adoption; they are vaccinated, virus-tested and dewormed, and there is no same-day adoption on a first visit. Visits are charged in courses from 60 minutes, each including a drink, with a discount for visitors aged 70 and over. Walk-ins are welcome, and reservations and private hire can be arranged. Children of elementary school age and younger must come with a guardian. Only phones are allowed in the cat room, with free lockers for other belongings, and socks are required. Closing days are irregular and are posted on the website and Instagram.

Neko Cafe Pupu Mignon

Neko Cafe Pupu Mignon is a cat cafe on the fourth floor of a building in Odakicho, Yokosuka, three minutes on foot from Keikyu Yokosuka-Chuo Station along the Mikasa shopping street. Its two-level space has a see-through catwalk between floors, a cat wheel and cat towers, and about two dozen cats, more than half of them rescues, alongside breeds such as Scottish Folds, a Norwegian Forest Cat, a Maine Coon and a Bengal. A single entry fee covers an unlimited stay, with cheaper rates for high school students and children, and a coworking plan with free drinks and Wi-Fi is available. There are no reservations. All ages are welcome, and children of elementary school age and younger must come with a guardian. On weekends and holidays the cats take a half-hour afternoon break, when guests step out. The cafe is closed on the fourth Tuesday of each month.

Kamakura Nekomitei is a small rescue cat cafe in an old house with tatami rooms in Yukinoshita, Kamakura, about five minutes on foot from the east exit of Kamakura Station, just off Komachi-dori on the way to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu. It is owner-run and home-like, and its rescue cats, some of them living with disabilities, are waiting for new families; kitten adoption events are held from time to time. The house holds only one or two groups at a time, so phoning ahead is advised. Visits are charged by the hour with a drink included. The cafe looks like an ordinary home from the street and is easy to walk past. It is closed on Wednesdays.

Kamakura Nekonoma

Kamakura Nekonoma is an adoption-focused rescue cat cafe in an old house set among greenery in Fueda, Kamakura, about ten minutes on foot from the Great Buddha at Kotoku-in and three minutes from the Uchikoshi stop on the bus route between Kamakura and Fujisawa stations. Opened in 2016, it has rehomed more than 500 cats from the cafe and beyond and carries out trap-neuter-return work in the area. Some cats prefer to stay up on the beams, and not every cat is available for adoption. Visits are by phone reservation only and are charged by the half hour, with a minimum of one drink per person from a menu of herbal teas, Sri Lankan tea, matcha, coffee and sweets. Children under school age are not admitted, and elementary school children pay half price with a guardian. Socks are required. The cafe is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Munchkins Kamakura

Munchkins is a cat and dog cafe on the third floor of a building on Komachi-dori in Yukinoshita, Kamakura, five to seven minutes on foot from the east exit of Kamakura Station. Formerly known as Neko Cafe Shizuku, it has more than ten cats, many of them kittens, and has also kept pugs. Visits are charged per 30 minutes, with a lower rate for children of junior high school age and younger, and a drink order is expected; cafe drinks and light meals are served. Walk-ins are welcome, and families with children are accepted. It is open every day and is a convenient stop while sightseeing along Komachi-dori.
Cat Cafe Coorikuya Enoshima

Cat Cafe Coorikuya Enoshima is a cat cafe in Katase-kaigan, Fujisawa, seven minutes on foot from Katase-Enoshima Station on the Odakyu Line. It is attached to a Coo&RIKU pet shop, where visitors can also meet rabbits and hedgehogs, and its cats are mostly young purebreds that change over time. Large glass windows let in plenty of light, and Mount Fuji can be seen on clear days. Visits are charged by time with a one-drink order, and there are no reservations. Junior high school students and older may visit alone, younger children need an adult relative, and children under three enter free. Visitors receive a two-hour voucher for the coin parking lot on the ground floor. The cafe is a short walk from Enoshima and the Shonan beaches.
