Neko Cafe Leon

Neko Cafe Leon is a cat cafe a minute's walk from the north exit of JR Ishikawacho Station, near Yokohama Chinatown. Opened in 2008, it was the first cat cafe in Yokohama and is now part of a small group that includes the Nyankuru cafes in Sakuragicho, Kawasaki and Kamata. Every cat in the shop is available for adoption through the Yamanashi rescue group Little Cats, with screening and a trial period before adoption. Visits are charged by time, with a free drink bar of coffee, teas and soft drinks, and longer set and free-time plans are available. Bookings can be made by phone on the day. All ages are welcome, and children of elementary school age and younger must come with a guardian. Visitors may not pick up or chase the cats, and payment is by cash or selected cashless options.
