Mon ange NoN
Tottori
Mon ange NoN is a small rescue cat cafe run by an individual rescuer in a room of her home in Gyotoku, Tottori, a short distance north-west of JR Tottori Station. The home is a shelter, so it is plainer than a typical cat cafe, but the cats are very friendly and often climb onto laps without treats. In mid-2026 it was caring for about 37 rescued cats, including several with feline leukaemia and one with FIV. All the cats are looking for permanent homes, though visitors who only want to spend time with cats are welcome. Visits are charged per 30, 60 or 90 minutes, with a weekday free-time option and discounts for students. The owner works from home and is sometimes out at the vet, so visitors should send a message on Instagram before coming.

Nyanya no Mori
Matsue, Shimane
Nyanya no Mori is a rescue cat cafe in Shimohigashikawatsucho, north-eastern Matsue, close to the Mishimaya Higashikawatsu supermarket, with parking for 12 cars. It opened on 22 May 2025 and is run by a type B employment support workplace, where staff with disabilities serve customers and look after the room. About 20 cats live in a wood-finished room. They come from local volunteer rescuers and, apart from a few permanent residents, are waiting for adoptive homes. Many came from life outdoors and are still getting used to people, so some watch from high places rather than approaching. Visits are charged by time, drinks can be ordered, and treats and handmade goods are sold. Children under 4 are not admitted, and socks must be worn. Walk-ins are welcome, and phone bookings are taken for busy weekends. It is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

It serves breakfast from 6:30 AM and lunch, with dishes such as quiche, pasta and sandwich plates, plus takeaway lunch boxes and party food. The ground floor has four counter seats, while upstairs is a six-seat tatami room filled with books where the shop's cats live, and diners can eat there and spend time with them. The room usually has three to five calm, friendly cats. The upstairs room is small, so booking ahead is a good idea. There is no dedicated parking, and nearby coin parking can be used. The diner is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and sometimes closes for events, which are announced on Instagram.

SPHYNX CAT CAFE
Takamatsu, Kagawa
SPHYNX CAT CAFE is a small cat cafe in Konyamachi, central Takamatsu, dedicated to hairless cats. Opened in September 2023 by a breeder, it is home to about five Sphynx and Elf cats, a curl-eared hairless breed, which are known for being sociable and enjoying close contact; their warm, bare skin also makes the cafe an option for some visitors who react to fur. Visits are by reservation only, and each booking has the room to itself, so one group at a time spends the session with the cats and the owner. The charge is per person per hour. Kittens bred by the owner are raised at the cafe until about six months old and then sold to new homes, and visiting first is encouraged before deciding. Visitors must be 11 or older, flash photography is not allowed, and there is no parking.

Sanuki Neko
Utazu, Kagawa
Sanuki Neko is a cat cafe in Utazu, Kagawa, about 25 minutes on foot from the east exit of JR Utazu Station. It is a quiet space where the cats keep their own pace, and most of them are young, with names taken from udon dishes such as Kamaage and Shippoku. Visits are charged by time with 15-minute extensions, slightly higher on weekends and holidays, and special cat treats can be bought to feed the cats. Entry is for junior high school students and older. The cafe is closed on Tuesdays, moving to Wednesday when Tuesday is a holiday, and may close on other days depending on the cats' health.
Neko no Ajito
Ayagawa, Kagawa
Neko no Ajito is a rescue cat cafe in Sue, Ayagawa, a few minutes by car from AEON Mall Ayagawa. It opened at the end of July 2026 in a converted former massage shop, taking in the cats of necobokko CAFE in Tadotsu, which closed that March, and its name means "the cats' hideout". The cat area is divided into small semi-private rooms with a playful, ship-like interior. Time with the cats is charged per 30 minutes, and there is a discounted free-time option on weekdays. Preschool children can visit in a private room that families book for themselves. The cafe side serves a small daily lunch of home-style obanzai dishes and freshly ground coffee, and there are seats where guests can eat and watch the cats without entering the cat area, so food-only visits are welcome. The cats are up for adoption. The cafe is closed on Tuesdays.

Honmachi Itchome Cafe
Sakaide, Kagawa
Honmachi Itchome Cafe is a cafe in Honmachi, Sakaide, run by Kamada Soy Sauce, a brewery founded in 1789, on the grounds of its head office. Alongside the dining room it has a cat room called Neko Park, where visitors can sit with five rescued cats; the dining room also has a counter with a view into the room. The cats came from partner rescue shelters, including Neko Republic in Osaka, Hogoneko House Sora and Soramame House in Kagawa, and the cafe does not take in or rehome cats itself. The menu uses the company's soy sauce in dishes such as egg-on-rice, dashi chazuke, a weekly lunch and soy sauce desserts, served on Hasami porcelain. Orders are placed by QR code and payment is cashless only. The cafe opens Tuesday to Saturday except public holidays, and the cats may not be out if they are unwell.
Check each cafe's website for current hours, booking requirements and age restrictions before visiting.
