Save Cat Cafe

Save Cat Café is a nonprofit feline sanctuary located at 5-7-8 Tenjinbashi, Kita-ku, Osaka-shi, Osaka 530-0041, Japan, dedicated to fostering connections between people and rescue cats while promoting adoption since its opening on April 1, 2015. Situated a three-minute walk from JR Tenma Station, this intimate café invites guests to spend a relaxing 90-minute session with adoptable cats from the partnering NPO “Osaka Neko Net,” creating a serene environment where visitors can bond with felines, offer treats, and learn about their profiles, all for an entrance fee of 1,500 yen per hour. With a reservation-priority system to limit crowds (maximizing comfort for both cats and guests, ideally up to 2-4 people), bookings are made via the LINE app (up to two weeks in advance) or by phone (06-7165-6504), ensuring a peaceful experience enhanced by personal space for dining and cat interaction, supported by knowledgeable staff well-versed in feline care and rescue activities. Open Tuesday to Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (closed Mondays), the café offers homemade sweets, curry, and original merchandise, with proceeds funding cat care and adoption efforts, while its small size and cat-friendly layout—featuring toys and blankets—make it an ideal spot for animal lovers to unwind and support Osaka’s stray cat population in a culturally rich neighborhood.
