La Ferte Alais, Ile De France, France
Ronrons et Latte
Ronrons et Latte is a tea room and cat cafe in the centre of La Ferté-Alais in the southern Essonne, about five minutes on foot from the RER D station. Five or six cats roam freely through the cosy room, sleeping, playing and accepting cuddles. Most are residents, including a mini snow Bengal, and two at a time are available for adoption under an association contract with Nos Chats Sans Toit, a rescue group based in Corbeil-Essonnes. The menu mixes healthy and indulgent snacks, such as cookies, pancakes, muffins, tarts and matcha cake, with hot sandwiches like bagels and grilled cheese, milkshakes and specialty hot chocolates and lattes, much of it made to order. Cat books and board games are available, and a concept store sells gifts and work by local makers. Children are welcome under parental supervision, and tables can be reserved by text message.

Le Chat-Rivari Café is a vegan cat cafe on Boulevard Auguste Blanqui in the 13th arrondissement, one minute from Corvisart métro station and five minutes from Place d'Italie, near the Butte-aux-Cailles. Opened in August 2025 by Marie and Aniss, it acts as a foster home for around ten cats of all ages from the BooGlaw rescue, and every cat is available for adoption through the association, with more than sixty cats rehomed since opening. The cats move freely between the ground-floor cafe and a private basement room with beds, litter trays and food. The menu is fully plant-based, with hot and cold drinks and homemade sweet and savory snacks; no alcohol is served. There is no entry fee and no reservations, so visitors simply walk in. Children aged seven and over are welcome with an adult, and guests follow a conduct charter for the cats' comfort. Board games are available.

Mon Chat Pitre Versailles
Versailles, Ile De France24 mi / 39 km
Mon Chat Pitre Versailles is a general bookshop in central Versailles where rescued cats live among the shelves, part of the Mon Chat Pitre network of 'ronron-librairies' founded in Aix-en-Provence in 2021. It opened in spring 2026. The cats, all from shelters and rescue associations, roam freely, sleep in the displays and come to greet browsers, and they have their own space to retreat to. They are permanent residents rather than adoptable cats, and the shop uses its following to promote cats waiting for homes in local associations. There is no cafe or entry fee: visitors come to browse, ask the booksellers for recommendations, order titles not in stock, and spend time with the cats. The shop also sells cat-themed accessories and gifts.
Chat Mallows Café
Paris, Ile De France25 mi / 40 km
Chat Mallows Café is a cat tea room on Rue des Volontaires in the 15th arrondissement, steps from Volontaires métro station. About fifteen resident cats live here, a mix of pedigree breeds such as Bengal, British Shorthair, Devon Rex and Maine Coon alongside adopted European cats, with a separate quiet room where they can retreat. The cats are not for sale or adoption, though staff point interested visitors toward animal associations. Visits must be booked and carry a per-person entry fee that includes a tea; other drinks, homemade cakes and savory snacks are optional. Children under six are not admitted, and children up to fifteen must stay beside an adult. Visitors are asked to whisper, not to pick up the cats and not to bring outside food. The Asian-inspired decor doubles as a showroom, and the furniture, mugs and plush toys are for sale.
