Mon ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌Chat Pitre Versailles is a general bookshop in central Versailles where rescued cats live among the shelves, part of the Mon Chat Pitre network of 'ronron-librairies' founded in Aix-en-Provence in 2021. It opened in spring 2026. The cats, all from shelters and rescue associations, roam freely, sleep in the displays and come to greet browsers, and they have their own space to retreat to. They are permanent residents rather than adoptable cats, and the shop uses its following to promote cats waiting for homes in local associations. There is no cafe or entry fee: visitors come to browse, ask the booksellers for recommendations, order titles not in stock, and spend time with the cats. The shop also sells cat-themed accessories and gifts.
