Ponoie Cat Clinic and Rescue Cat Room
Ponoie is a cat-only veterinary clinic with a rescue cat room, directly opposite the south exit of JR Sashiogi Station in Nishi Ward, Saitama. Opened in September 2023, the clinic uses the room to find homes for rescued and community cats, and the cats, many of them young, are neutered where old enough and tested for FIV and FeLV. Visits are by reservation only, made by phone or LINE, and are charged per 30 minutes with 10-minute extensions; no food or drinks are served, and private rooms with a chosen cat can be booked on the day. Up to eight visitors can use the room at once, children must be accompanied by a guardian, and socks are required. Adoptions follow an interview and set conditions.
