Nekozuki Room Mofumofu is a tiny cat room in an apartment building in Shinyashikicho, central Kagoshima, on a back street near Pers Street, a short walk from the Tenmonkan area. It describes itself as possibly the smallest cat cafe in the world, and it reopened after a renewal on 25 February 2026. Most of the resident cats are convalescing or shy, sensitive cats that are not used to people, so visits are quiet and the cats set the pace, but several others enjoy attention and play. The room shares its space with Sora 401 Kobo, the owner's small studio. Opening days and afternoon hours are announced on Instagram, usually a few days a week, so it is best to check there before visiting.
