Nekodokoro

Nekodokoro is a small therapy-themed cat cafe in Okubo-cho Yagi, Akashi, about three minutes on foot from Sanyo Electric Railway Naka-Yagi Station and 15 minutes from JR Okubo Station. It faces Yagi Iseki Park, with views across the sea to the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge and Awaji Island. Opened in 2017, it is home to a group of rescued resident cats known as the seven lucky cats, and kittens looking for adoptive homes are sometimes in residence. Visits are charged per 30 minutes, and infants under one held in arms enter free. Children below elementary school age are limited to 30 minutes and those below junior high age to one hour, always with an adult. Reservations are required by phone or email and are paid in advance. Visitors may bring sealed drinks. It mainly opens on weekends and public holidays.
