Hogo Neko Cafe Caro

Hogo Neko Cafe Caro is a rescue cat cafe on the second floor of the Hamaya Building in Honmachi, central Akashi, about 10 minutes on foot from JR Akashi Station. It is home to a group of adult rescue cats, all of which are looking for new families, and the room has a custom-built catwalk. Adoption is open to people who meet the cafe's conditions, and adoption events are held with partner volunteer groups. Visits are charged by stay length, with 90-minute and three-hour plans that include either a drink or a cat treat, and a shorter one-hour plan on public holidays. Children under nine are not admitted, and children of elementary and junior high school age must come with an adult. Visitors change into slippers, so socks are required. The cafe is closed Tuesday to Thursday, except on public holidays.
