Nekocafe Danro
Danro is an adoption-based rescue cat cafe on the second floor of a building in Yokotamachi, Aoi Ward, about three minutes on foot from Otowacho Station and four from Kasugacho Station on the Shizutetsu line, close to Sunpu Castle Park. The cats are rescues, many of them given up by former owners, that live here while they wait for new families, and kittens are sometimes in residence. The room is calm, with a separate rest area where cats can retreat. Visits are charged per 30 minutes with free drinks, at a higher rate on weekends and holidays, and cat treats can be bought. Children of junior high school age and under need a guardian, socks are required and outside food is not allowed. Private rooms are available, and closing days are irregular.
