Neko Cafe Salon de Kei

Neko Cafe Salon de Kei is a rescue cat cafe in Kaji-machi, Himeji, at the southern end of the Nozato shopping arcade and about 15 minutes on foot from Himeji Castle, with the Nozatomon bus stop a short walk away. A pink noren curtain with a beckoning-cat pattern marks the entrance. Around 20 cats live here, all rescued or fostered, including a Scottish Fold and a Somali. Visits are charged for 90 minutes with one drink included, then per 30 minutes, and visitors may bring bottled drinks. The cafe is reservation-only by phone, and first-time visitors usually need to book by the previous day. Visitors are asked not to shout, run or bother the cats, and socks are required. The owner promotes adopting rescue cats, and adoption is possible. The cafe is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
