Neko Cafe Nekohachi

Neko ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌Cafe Nekohachi opened in April 2015 as the first cat cafe in Hachinohe. It is on the second floor of a building in Uchimaru, one minute on foot from the south exit of Hon-Hachinohe Station. The cafe has about 20 cats of around ten breeds, many of them pedigree cats from around the world, and some are available for adoption. Visits are charged by time, cat treats can be bought, and visitors keep track of their own time and pay when they leave. Children under six are not admitted for the cats' safety, elementary school children must come with a guardian, and junior high and high school students get a discount with student ID. Cats are not to be picked up unless they climb onto a lap. A cat hotel for boarding runs on the third floor. The last entry is 30 minutes before closing.
