Neco Republic Osaka

Neco Republic Osaka is a rescue cat cafe and cat inn in Shimanouchi, Chuo Ward, about 2 minutes on foot from Exit 7 of Nagahoribashi Station and 9 minutes from Shinsaibashi Station. Run by the Neco Republic rescue organisation, the cafe is styled as a public bathhouse, the Neko Yokujo, and also has a footbath; the attached Neko Hatago inn can be rented as a whole for one to six guests who stay overnight with the cats. Around 28 rescued cats are usually in residence, and all of them can be adopted through a process that includes an interview, a home visit and a two-week trial. Visits are charged in 10-minute units with a required drink order, and one-hour and weekday all-day plans are offered. Children up to junior high school age must come with a guardian. The cafe closes on one irregular day each month.
