Monnyaka Rescue Cat Adoption Salon
Monnyaka is an adoption salon for rescued cats in Monzennakacho, Koto City, about two minutes on foot from Monzen-nakacho Station on the Tozai and Oedo lines. It is run by NPO Koto Neko no Kai, a volunteer group that has worked on stray cat issues across Koto Ward since at least 2016, including trap-neuter-return, treatment of sick and injured cats, and rehoming. The salon opens every Saturday and Sunday afternoon, entry is free with a donation box inside, and no reservation is needed. Visitors who simply want to spend time with the cats are welcome as well as prospective adopters. Numbers inside are limited, so there can be a wait at busy times. Some adoptable cats live with foster volunteers and can be met at the salon by arrangement. Closures can happen without notice and are posted on the group's social media.
